Our judges loved the high impact they got with just one layer of this black waterproof formula. It’s an extension of the popular NYX volumizing and lengthening mascara by the same (quite apropos) name. Nina Park especially loved how it locked a curl into her straight lashes: “This one surpassed all my expectations. It held the curl while giving me length and volume. Huge fan of this one.” Plus, the $8 price tag made an advocate out of all who tried it.
Separated looooong lashes are what this inky black mascara is all about. The end result is almost tint-like because the formula is so fine, but tiny fibers leave a slight extension effect. Kahlana Barfield Brown said this could be her new daily go-to: “I have extremely wild lashes that refuse to behave, but this mascara got them in check. The tiny spiked brush really gets in there and combs out kinks without clumping.”
That this is the first 3D-printed mascara brush isn’t the only reason judges said OMG. “Just one coat and my lashes were instantly full,” said Marianna Hewitt. “I didn’t even need multiple coats to get the effect I usually go for.” The honeycomb pattern of the bristles creates mini-reservoirs of formula for exactly this reaction.
