Break Up with Your Beauty Routine

Hundreds of beauty products launch each month, but not all of them live up to their claims. To make your life a bit easier, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite new launches of the month to help you discover the legit game-changers worth adding to your cart. Whether you’re an amateur skincare expert, a makeup guru, or just looking for something exciting to add to your medicine cabinet, these are the exciting finds worth adding to your cart.

I’m always trying to do the absolute least when it comes to makeup and skincare, especially during the hot and humid summer months. It’s not by choice—my mind and body immediately switch into “lethargic mode” once the temperature creeps above 75 degrees. With summer comes heat, and with the heat comes loose-fitting slip dresses that I can throw on and beauty products that can withstand the pressure of the suffocating humidity. I have a lot of opinions as to what makes a solid “summer beauty product,” and said products should adhere to a certain set of rules. Firstly, they should be lightweight. That’s obvious—no one wants to add anything to their person that will weigh them down even more. A summer beauty product should neither be seen nor heard. Once applied, that should be the last time the product crosses your mind—no subway meltdowns allowed. The product should also be easy to use, with no complicated steps or unnecessary packaging. Bonus points if the beauty product is a multitasker.

Now that you know what qualifications a summer beauty product needs to possess, I will share my favorite April 2024 beauty launches that make the cut, below.

Beauty Balm Serum Boosted Skin Tint

I hate the feeling of anything on my face, no matter the season, but especially during the summertime. If I wear makeup on my skin, nine times out of 10, it’s a skin tint. Why do I love this one in particular? Let me count the ways: It’s sheer, lightweight, and hydrating; it doesn’t pool into my pores; it layers well over skincare products; it balances out my skin tone; and it’s formulated with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, peptides, and fatty acids to smooth and protect the skin’s barrier.

Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Balm Sunscreen Stick- SPF 45

This innovative sunscreen stick is ideal for no-makeup days. It’s easy and portable—great for on-the-go touch-ups—applies smoothly, and doesn’t leave a white cast behind on your skin, just a dewy glow. And in addition to UV protection, the sunscreen stick also offers skincare benefits. The formula is infused with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and squalane to soothe and moisturize skin while also evening out tone.

The Lippie Stick

Not only does this versatile product give lips a natural-looking pigment, it’s also hydrating—thanks to the plant-based oils and cocoa butter in the formula. The result? Lips that look and feel great, whether you’re sipping cocktails on a rooftop or relaxing by the pool.

Jones Road
$22

Pistachio Face Oil

A face oil during the summertime sounds like a bad idea, but trust me, you need one in your routine. When you layer a face oil over a moisturizer, the oil locks in moisture, ensuring your skin stays hydrated all day long. Formulated with Sicilian pistachio oil and vitamin E, this lightweight oil absorbs quickly while boosting hydration levels, leaving your skin soft, smooth, and radiant.

Irene Forte
$180

HD Skin Face Essentials – Longwear Full Face Cream Palette

This palette is the ultimate multitasker—it features an array of shades that can be mixed and matched to create your own customizable shade of foundation, concealer, bronzer, contour, blush, and highlighter. So, it’s basically a 6-in-1 product. The cream formulas are sheer yet long-lasting and buildable, so they’ll hold up in the heat.

Make Up For Ever
