What Happens When You Mix Master of None’s Alessandra Mastronardi with Lots of Chanel

The Italian actress can charm even a lamp.

Many of us first came to know the actress Alessandra Mastronardi last year while binge-watching season 2 of Master of None on Netflix. Her character, Francesca, is flirty and somewhat controversial but undeniably Italian chic. Now, after getting ready for the Golden Globes with Mastronardi on Sunday night, we can confirm the last part carries well beyond the small screen. In head-to-toe Chanel, including her makeup look from makeup artist Kate Lee, Mastronardi’s all-black ensemble was embroidered with feathers and sequins and had a touch of ballerina. “I think the Time’s Up movement is very important to support all these women who didn’t speak up before,” says Mastronardi. “We have to stay together to make things change.” She was certainly in good company on the red carpet, as well as with her glam team, including hairstylist Cervando Maldonado, in the hours leading up. Below, see our afternoon with the Italian beauty prepping for the 2018 Golden Globes red carpet.

“It’s definitely reminiscent of Sophia Loren, she would ring her eyes and was very precise, elongating the eye shape and drawing in every brow. I guess it is kind of a modern-day nod to that kind of look, and also Brigitte Bardot, she was the queen of the ink-pot eye.” —KL
