This Celebrity Stylist's Bachelorette Style Is Anything But Kitsch
Everything Micaela Erlanger wore on her Hawaiian vacation.

Welcome to Style Diaries, a series where we research the physical manifestations of our closet tours IRL. We're asking friends and tastemakers to show us what they're *actually* wearing during the week and to provide a little insight into their thoughts on the current state of fashion. This week, we follow celebrity stylist Micaela Erlanger as she reveals the looks she wore throughout her luxurious bachelorette trip to Hawaii, where Erlanger and guests stayed at Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection.
What role has fashion played throughout your wedding planning process?
“Fashion has played a leading role in the planning process, including my bachelorette. As a stylist, I can’t help but curate every detail from the dresses to accessories and everything in between!”
How has your personal style influenced your bridal style?
“What I have loved so much about being a bride is that there are so many occasions to get dressed up. My personal style has always led the way—I think my taste and personality has really shown through.”
In terms of beauty, what does your go-to hair and makeup routine look like and how does that change based on what you’re wearing?
“I take religious care of my skin and have been using Revive skin-care products for the last year and a half. I’m obsessed with their serums, creams, lip balms, and SPF.
My makeup routine is simple enough. I have a few products I always pack such as 111 Eye Patches and then Lancôme Teint Idole concealer, Dolce & Gabbana bronzer, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk matte lipstick, Benefit mascara, and a Tom Ford eyeshadow palette. For hair, I usually air dry and throw a headband on; I have about a hundred from Jennifer Behr. They make you feel put together even if you haven’t had time for a blowout. I will try and switch up my look with my hair accessories, eyeshadow, and lip color.”
Look 1: Happy Hour & Dinner
“For our first night out I thought it would be fun to set the bridal tone with a white night theme. I invited all my girlfriends to join me in the honorary color and meet in Mauna Lani's lobby for cocktails and light bites.
“I loved the raffia skirt detail of this Johanna Ortiz dress. I added a bag from Rosantica, puka shell earrings from Eliou, heels from Stuart Weitzman, and a bride crown (naturally). I love the organic elements, the raffia, the shells, the little bit of sparkle and the lei!”

Look 2: Beach Day
“[This was] our first beach day! After a sunrise morning canoe, we got dressed for a day at the beach and in the sun. I found these amazing vintage terry sets from Zingara Vintage and curated a different look for each girlfriend. Paired them with big hats from Sarah Bray Bermuda and retro sunnies from Celine. While walking to the beach we happened upon a bunch of fun colored Mokes all parked outside. I couldn’t have planned it better myself; we matched perfectly!”

Look 3: Surprise Picnic Dinner
“After a day by the pool, we got ready for dinner. My friends had all planned a gorgeous surprise picnic and it was just so beautiful and perfect. I found this vintage Oscar de la Renta dress online ages ago. It was waiting for the right moment to be worn and this was it! I topped off the look with a vintage bag my friend gave me, pearl eliou earrings, a love bug ring from Mason and Books, Stuart Weitzman heels, and an orchid picked from the vine. Every day we had themed dressing and this one (pastel florals) was one of my favorites! We all turned it out!”
Look 4: Pajama Slumber Party
“After we drank our weight in champagne at the picnic dinner, we were ready for a pajama party. We changed into matching feathered pajamas from Daily Sleeper and I doubled up my crown (which made a recurring appearance) with a red headband. We ordered late-night fries and watched Bridesmaids. I’ve always kind of dreamt of having a girly over-the-top slumber party and this was it!”

Look 5: Morning Tennis Match
“The next morning, we dragged ourselves to the tennis courts for a little ‘activity.’ Retro tennis whites were the theme and we delivered! I wore a pleated tennis skirt I found on Amazon, a polo, Chanel sneakers, tube socks, Andy Wolf sunnies, and a visor from Tory Burch. I was really in my element.”

Look 6: Lei-Making
“That afternoon we took a traditional lei making class at Mauna Lani which was such a peaceful experience. We dressed up in bold and bright colors, and set out intentions with every flower strung. I loved the playful crochet colors and leaned into the island feel with jewelry. The accessories really were the finishing touch!”

Look 7: Wine Tastings at the Famous Canoe House
“We decide to dress for sunset with an elevated earth-tone color palette. I chose a dress from Cult Gaia, Gianvito Rossi heels, and a vintage bamboo clutch. My lei from earlier that day served as my headpiece. I normally wear bright colors so this was a departure for me; I loved it!”

Look 8: Poolside Mimosas
"We spent the day poolside at a cabana, complete with mimosas. It was a perfect way to relax! We wore swimsuits from Valimare swim, hats from Sarah Bray Bermuda, and, of course, plenty of sunblock from my favorite brand Revive! There is something about a white swimsuit that says ‘I’m a bride!’”

Look 9: Final Dinner
“After a day in the sun, and surfing on the water, it was time for our last dinner! Obviously, it meant we were getting decked out, so jungle fever it was! I had been saving this outfit for a while and couldn’t wait to wear it. My friends at Dolce [& Gabbana] gave me this fabulous sequin look a while ago and I needed an excuse to break it out. I loved that it has tropical birds and scenery on the skirt. I completed the look with a vintage bag and shoes from Cult Gaia—the shoes had a very white lotus feel to them! It was the perfect look to close out our bachelorette weekend and my friends looked gorgeous.”
