While Fashion Month has our eyes glued to runways and minds predicting which trends still stick when the next season rolls around, we turn to our favorite off-duty models for more immediate style inspiration—because we're patiently awaiting spring and models clearly are too. Between shows in New York, London, Milan, and Paris, model style is classically stripped back and leans on elevated basics, capsule wardrobe pieces, and tried and true staples. This had us thinking: how can we apply this inspiration to our own transitional wardrobes? And how can we seamlessly rotate our wardrobes from cold-weather essentials to spring appropriate?

Model-off-duty fashion has mastered pared back looks, effortlessly cool ensembles, and quiet luxury that also feels accessible to everyone and replicable regardless of budget. Ahead, the model-off-duty approved pieces that I’m considering crucial for my transition into spring. Spoiler: it’s (mostly) all about shoes and outerwear.
