An Ode to Fabulous Fringe Jackets

And how we’re styling them this season.

By: Camille Freestone

There are certain pieces that you buy and keep forever—never too trendy, but typically statement making. They sometimes require a few extra dollars in investment, but will likely last season after season in your closet. Enter: the statement Western-inspired fringe jacket—a piece so distinct it’s almost classic. Designers from Etro, Dior, R13, and Micheal Kors have all put their spin on the iconic style, while smaller brands, like Coveteur favorite Dan Cassab, have made the style their specialty.

As a statement piece, we recommend making it the focal point of your ensemble, pairing it with pieces of a simpler nature. The western inspired style also needs something polished to strike the proper balance. A crisp white blouse, a simple crew neck sweater, or a solid t-shirt would be the perfect fit. For bottoms, denim is always a win, of course—any shade or wash will do.
