The Coolest NYFW Manicure Moments That You Can Recreate Right Now
From animal print themes to minimal accents, there's a look for everyone.

While, yes, the focus of New York Fashion Week is on the designers and the pieces that make it down the catwalk, we'd be lying if we said that we didn't look to the runway for our beauty inspiration as well. Yes, of course the hair and makeup looks make their way onto our moodboards, but the nail art that we saw parade down the runway deserve their own time in the sun, too. And the best thing about this season's nail art? Unlike the clothes, you don't have to wait until next year to try out the trends. Below, you'll find the best nail art moments from the NYFW spring/summer 2022 shows and exactly how you can recreate them at home.

Celebrity nail artist and manicurist Julie Kandalec created several different nail looks for the Rodarte show, but this zebra-inspired print took the top spot on our list of favorites. The various nail designs were meant to act as an extension of the nature-derived outfits that made it down the runway.

For Peter Do's runway show, Jin Soon Choi opted for sheer square-shaped nails—an aesthetic reprieve from the almond shape that has dominated Instagram for several seasons now—with a black wavy accent to finish off the nail art.

This bedazzled nail art look was just one of two designs that celebrity nail artist Gina Edwards drummed up for the Rebecca Minkoff show. After applying press-on acrylics onto each nail, Edwards and her team applied individual crystals to up the glam factor.

A classic red nail is always on trend. For Naeem Khan's latest collection, nail artist and manicurist Aki Hirayama opted for a show-stopping, fire-engine red hue to compliment the clothes (which were just as eye-catching).

In order to bring this nail art look to life, nail artist Mei Kawajiri first secured press-on nails onto each finger and then applied gel nail art stickers to accent the look. The final result is a streamlined design that is classic without being boring.
