Alexander Skarsgård is on the horniest press tour of his life. For the Berlin premiere of his A24 film Pillon, Skarsgård made a statement that we, as well as men worldwide, needed to hear: going out tops are for men, too. And, more generally speaking, men should be having fun with fashion! In 2025, in collaboration with stylist Harry Lambert, Skargård proved that he's a huge proponent of that exact sentiment through the wearing of thigh-high boots at the Cannes Film Festival, cobalt sequin trousers at the premiere of Eagles of the Republic, and a backless halter neck top with a leather tie for the BFI Film Festival—just to name a few.
This time around, the latest look getting him closer to fashion icon status—if he hasn’t already reached it, that is—is courtesy of Dior. He pulled a purple and silver embellished sleeveless top from the house’s Fall 2026 men's collection. On the runway, the top was styled with jeans, a belt with a big buckle that read “Dior,” statement boots, and a statement bag. Skarsgård, on the other hand, let the top do all the talking and heavy lifting by pairing it with simple black pants and sleek black boots—because, after all, that top does have a lot to say.

While some keyboard warriors are deeming the top "bizarre," others have coined it "groundbreaking"—it's all about the duality. Generally, the online discourse remains about men wearing garments, whether it be due to material or silhouette, that can be considered "feminine." Our opinion? We love the fashion men continuing to make a case for subversive, gender-defying dressing—Skarsgård being one of them!
