The Home Accessories That Keep Our Staffers Cozy This Season
Candles, throw blankets, and dim lighting—oh my!
When the temperatures drop below freezing and the sun wanes away by 5 PM, staying home seems as tempting an option as ever. Picture this: You’ve just turned on Little Women and have crept beneath a plush blanket, tea in hand; cookies bake in the oven while a candle flickers on a side table. Sound enticing? To help you recreate this scene or another sumptuous rendition to your liking, we’ve asked our staffers to reveal the home accessories they’re indulging in to stay cozy this winter and the results range from delicious candles to sumptuous throws.

Wavy Lamp
I’ve had my eye on this 3D-printed lamp for quite some time now and might consider splurging on a pair for my bedside tables in the new year. Its playful design and soft-pleated texture not only make it fun to look at, but also create such a calming and warm glow when it’s lit—perfect for cozying up next to with a good book and hot chocolate on those chillier days.
Hinoki Fantome Candle
Friends of mine bought me the oversized version of this classic Boy Smells candle for my birthday this year, and I couldn’t wait until the temperatures dropped to fire it up. The limited-edition frosted green design of this one pairs perfectly with holiday decor, and the comforting notes of jasmine and cedar offer the subtle smell of Christmas trees without overpowering your space.
Throw Pillow Cover
I know pillow covers wouldn’t typically be something to shout from the rooftops about, but trust me, you’ll want to once you feel how incredibly soft these are. (I legitimately look forward to cuddling up on the couch with these every single night.) I bought a similar pair in white last summer that have held up super well, but have been seriously contemplating trading them in for this new moody blue hue. I mean, cozy and chic. What could be better?

Large Honeysuckle Scented Candle
While I’d normally turn to Loewe to complete my wardrobe, I have found myself swooning over the home collection, too. I love the warming scent and subtle design in this everyday home candle. The piece also doubles as the perfect hostess or housewarming present, so I could show up anywhere for the holidays and feel right at home.
Cable Cashmere Throw Blanket
I honestly believe that a home can never have too many throw blankets—especially during the holiday season. When I’m home visiting my parents in Florida, I can rock a throw blanket like it’s a scarf when I’m drifting from room to room or fully cocoon myself into one when I claim my corner of the couch. Now, I have my eye on this beautiful forest green cozy cashmere one and firmly believe that it can do all of that and more.
Blank Writing Pad
While I don’t think I’ll ever fully abandon my phone, I love having the ability to limit my screen time during the holiday season. The only way I’ll ever really be able to do that is by writing down the neverending cascade of thoughts that I have in between phone sessions. This writing pad would help me do that and look insanely chic thrown next to a cup of tea in the middle of winter, too.

Stainless Steel Tea Kettle
Sure, an electric water heater is practical, but there’s something so comforting about a tea kettle perched atop the stove. The stainless steel facade ensures that this doesn’t come off as grandma’s teapot, plus it will go with just about any style kitchen.
Cupids
Though we often conflate coziness with unassuming neutral hues, a loud color does not negate comfort. Though they aren’t cheap, Saved New York is my favorite destination for interesting blankets and pillows, and I’m adding this cupid rendition to my cart just in time for February.
Cyrnos Diffuser
Candles litter most surfaces in my apartment, but in my bathroom, I prefer a diffuser for a constant yet subtle release of scent. This Cire Trudon version creates the feeling of a spa at all times in my teeny space.

Large Moroccan Checkered Area Rug
An extra-soft rug that makes you feel all warm and cozy every time you step on it is a must-have in your home. This green and white checkered-print rug boosts the comfort levels in any room while also adding texture and style.
Ceramic Swan Towel Holder
This is technically a towel holder, but how cute would this look on your entryway table? It’s the perfect place for storing your keys—it’s cute, fun, and instantly ups the cozy vibe in your home.
Cantilever Table Light
Created with plant polymers instead of traditional plastic, this round lamp gives off a soft, warm, and uniform light that’ll instantly set the mood in any room.

Geometric Knit Blanket
I love a patterned throw blanket—they can instantly add a little character to a space without having to commit. This one is perfect to throw over the back of a sofa for some color, especially in a more neutral room.
Scalloped Pillow
I’m sold on pretty much anything with a scalloped trim, and these pillows are no exception. I love the pop of yellow and they’d be great to throw on a bed to add a little quirk. They also come in a wide range of colors if you’re looking for something a bit more bold.
Joan Ceramic Platter
This feels more like an art piece than a platter, so it’s really a two for one. The piece is hand-crafted by artisans in Spain and finished with ceramic beads. I’d use this for a wide range of things—fruit, keys, or even on its own as a centerpiece on a coffee or dining table.
