Who Says You Can’t Wear Dark Colors in the Spring?
This April, we’re leaning into shades of black and brown.

Seasons don’t hold the same weight they used to, at least in the context of fashion. Resort collections drop midwinter yet vacations are year-round. People in temperate climates dress for summer in January. And while we spotted hulking overcoats at Balenciaga this past February, Eckhaus Latta debuted slinky metallics. Essentially, when it comes to getting dressed, the power of seasonality continues to wane.
So, this April, we’re straying from the floral pastels that are associated with spring and embracing darker neutral hues. To retain some semblance of the season, do so in lighter fabrics. Think airy silk, crisp poplin, and classic khaki that range from onyx to beige to chocolate to cream. Below, we’ve rounded up our favorite pieces for you to shop this April and embrace these modern color pairings.
