This April in Fashion—Every New Item We’re Currently Coveting
From terry-cloth polos to straw totes.
Idyllic summer weather is so close we can practically taste it. Along with tantalizing visions of trips to the beach and strolls in the park come dreams of corresponding ensembles—bright prints, mini hemlines, sleeveless tops. Basically, we are champing at the bit to dress in the antithesis to the sweaters and track pants we've been hiding under for the past six months. Luckily, designers are indulging our anti-hibernation needs with new collaborations and launches featuring pared-back silhouettes and sunny colorways. From terry-cloth polos to cat-eye sunglasses, here's every item we have our eye on this month.
Lime Green Printed Oversized Silk Blazer
Founded by Adnan and Zain Ahmad, Rastah is one of our favorite emerging brands of the moment. This bright-hued blazer showcases what they do best—reinterpreting classic silhouettes with interesting fabrications, colorways, and prints.
x Rejina Pyo Organza Sleeve Silk Midi Dress
Rejina Pyo dresses at & Other Stories prices? Say no more. This new "co-lab" offers the British designer's refined design sensibility at a fraction of its typical cost. But hurry—it's selling out quickly!
Polo Navy Terrycloth
If you have summer on your mind, we recommend a scroll through Tombolo's site—wanderlust at its finest. In the meantime, we plan on adding this terry-cloth polo to our warm-weather rotations as soon as possible.
Double Bar Cuff
In case you're in need of an addition to your current wrist stack, V Bellan offers the perfect everyday cuff. We highly recommend a quick peruse of their site for any other jewelry-based needs.
Large Half & Half Tote Bag
We've been fans of Stella McCartney's iconic Falabella bag for years, so we were intrigued when we heard they were adding raffia to the mix. This carry-all tote will hold all your warm-weather essentials and look stylish while doing so.
This spring, Nanushka is translating their cult-favorite silhouettes into eyewear. We plan on donning these retro-inspired shades all summer long.
x Browns Fisher Bandeau Swimsuit
Cool-girl swimsuit brand Frankies Bikinis teamed up with London's Browns to release a swimwear capsule complete with bright colors and retro silhouettes. The styles are already tempting our warm-weather-deprived brains to add to cart.
Tank Americaine Auto Yellow Gold Men’s Strap Watch
There are few better investment purchases than a classic watch—what else can you wear every single day? This is top of our "smart purchases" list, as we plan to keep it in rotation for the rest of our lives.
Building on their vegan silk offering, Apparis, beloved for their faux fur outerwear, has expanded to offer a range of organic cotton separates. Not only is this sheath dress cut in one of our current favorite silhouettes, but the simplicity is going to make it a warm-weather staple.
Ultra Fine Cashmere T-Shirt
In case you were worried you couldn't wear cashmere in the summer, Naadam has reconstructed their traditional offering in an extra-fine weave. This cashmere t-shirt—yes, you heard that right—is perfect for spring days working from the couch.
Alexander McQueen's new Curve bag is destined to be a classic. We're opting for this neutral hue, as we think it will be a staple in our summer accessory rotations.
x Lena Dunham Madderlake Dress
For their first celebrity partnership, 11 Honoré has teamed up with Lena Dunham to release a new collection this April. We're particularly obsessed with this midi dress inspired by Dunham's artist father's work.
Faux Leather Straight Leg Pants
We love Amsterdam-based Caes's take on minimalist silhouettes, which are anything but boring. Not to mention everything is sustainably made, which ensures guilt-free shopping.
x Kalina Long-Sleeve Ruffle Shirt
Not only is the new collaboration between Universal Standard and Erdem available in extended sizing, it comes at a much more affordable rate than Erdem's typical prices. The collection reimagines Erdem's refined ladylike nature into super-wearable separates.
All Day Clean Sweatshirt
Paper project is making a name for themselves through their use of Japanese "paper yarn," which is anti-odor, moisture-wicking, and anti-bacterial—perfect for hot temps. Plus, the unisex styles provides the perfect "borrowed from the boys" relaxed silhouette.
Arne Woven Leather Slides
An easy slide is a must for the warmer season, and this St. Agni leather version is high on our wish lists. We can already envision ourselves slipping them on with shorts and a t-shirt to run to the store.
Petite Pebbled Taurus Medallion
We are big fans of any sort of personalized jewelry, so Foundrae's new Astrology collection was right up our alley. With Taurus season upon us, we are indulging in corresponding jewelry, and Foundrae's simple designs are the perfect medium.
Selena Open-Back Quilted Silk Top
In their first ever seasonless collection, cult-favorite Danish label Cecilie Bahnsen carries everything from knitwear to their beloved flouncy dresses. We are highly considering investing in one of their backless tanks for spring.
