The 44 Best Beauty Products That Launched in March

There’s never been a better time for a little self-care.

By: Hannah Baxter, Isabella Sarlija

You don’t need us to remind you that March has been a really long year. (Seriously, its felt like a year.) With the spread of COVID-19 and shelter-in-place orders being issued around the world, we’ve been taking solace in a wave of new beauty products helping us feel like at least one thing about our daily routines doesn’t have to change. All these new launches are available online and can be shipped to our homes, and for that we are incredibly grateful. Take it from us, a few hours of playing with a new lip color or testing a scalp scrub or applying mask after mask to your face is exactly the kind of self-care you need and deserve at the moment. With that in mind, these are the 44 best beauty products that launched this month. Enjoy!

Armani Luminous Silk Concealer, $38

Fans of the cult-favorite Luminous Silk Foundation (which has been newly expanded to 40 shades) rejoice, because Armani has finally launched a concealer with the same lightweight finish. There’s zero caking or flaking with this formula, and it even helps to highlight and brighten, making it ideal for under-eyes or to disguise redness around your nose.

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion SPF 50+ Sunscreen, $49

Shiseido sunscreens have long been a favorite among athletes and beachgoers alike for its silky-soft formulas and exceptional sun protection. Now the brand has expanded its lineup with this totally sheer chemical formula (meaning no leftover white cast) that is also reef and ocean safe. It’s so lightweight, you’ll forget you even applied an SPF in the first place.

Deborah Lippman Cuticle Oil Pen, $24

This hydrating oil is just the thing your digits need during an era of persistent hand washing. Cuticles are left well nourished by the jojoba seed oil, making for a healthy nail bed. Give your fingers a little break from what feels like the nth hour of typing away at your computer screen, and slather this on.

Gucci Mascara L’Obscur, $35

The highly anticipated second product category from Gucci is here with this delectable mascara. The flexible elastomer brush ensures that your lashes will never look clumpy if you don’t want them to be (some people love that, and more power to ya). Just hold the brush vertically for a more dramatic look, or keep it classic and horizontal for a subtle finish that is seriously pretty.

Omorovicza Scalp Reviver, $90

Our scalp health is very much on our mind these days (even more so since showering is becoming more of a suggestion than a requirement), but this new formula is packed with salicylic acid to clear away buildup and free your hair follicles of any blockages. Use it in between washes, especially if you’re a fan of dry shampoo.

Sisley-Paris Black Rose Eye Contour Fluid, $150

Fighting dark circles or dry, irritated under-eyes? This emulsion has black rose extract to help reflect light and make you look much more awake (despite the numerous sources of stress these days), while vitamin E acetate drenches the skin in antioxidant protection. Skin is soothed and supple, fast.

HoliFrog Como Popp-E Renewal Scrubby Wash, $40

If you’re looking for a gentle exfoliator that doesn’t strip your skin, but rather, leaves you even more hydrated than before, then meet HoliFrog’s newest addition to its cult-favorite cleanser lineup. Smooth poppy seeds and bamboo powder gently buff away dead skin and buildup while the oil-gel hybrid douses your skin in rich fatty acids and vitamins. It’s also totally clean and certified organic.

Things just became intense. French for “life is beautiful,” this bottle truly smells like beauty. With sandalwood and vanilla at its base, and raspberry top notes and a jasmine heart note, this perfume is ideal for the ever-changing settings of spring. During a trying time like now, even the little things, like your favorite perfume or favorite homemade dish, can remind you that life truly is beautiful.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Brag Volumizing Mascara, $25

This buildable mascara is ideal both for days when you want a subtle tint and lift to your lashes, or if you’d rather add a second coat to up the drama. The hourglass-shaped brush delivers the perfect amount of product every time, and the rice bran wax and paraben-free formula ensures that your lashes look lifted and fluttery all day long.

RODIN olio lusso Luxury Illuminating Eye Cream, $70

We don’t often swoon about the texture of our eye creams, but this new Rodin launch has changed all that for the better. The creamy balm contains shea and mango butters, vitamins A, C, and E, as well as the brand’s signature luxury oil blend for intensive hydration. There’s also zero fragrance, which is great for sensitive skin, and is ideal for use both in the morning and at night.

Verb Purple Toning + Hydrating Hair Mask, $18

Hair masks are essential right now to keep your color looking vibrant and bright until you can make it back in to see your colorist. The newest launch from this Austin-based brand both hydrates and banishes any brassy tones (color-treated or not) so that you’re left with healthy-looking and -feeling hair.

Stila Complete Harmony Lip & Cheek Stick, $26

Nothing like a creamy lip and cheek combo to brighten up even the most sullen of complexions. The added coconut oil ensures that your hair is moisturized all day long so your curls look their best.

African Botanics Retinal Night Cream, $200

No, that’s not a typo in the name—retinal is an encapsulated and stabilized form of vitamin A, also known as Retinaldehyde. It converts to Retinoic Acid once it’s applied to your skin, which aids in skin-cell turnover to reveal brighter, smoother skin underneath. This cream is also rich in protective antioxidants, and contains lactic, azelaic, and fulvic acids to further smooth your skin and prevent both acne and fine lines.

AG Hair Repair Serum Vitamin C Strengthening Sealant, $25

AG’s newest collection is all about repairing and restoring the health of your hair, which we need given the past few months of dry, cold weather. This lightweight leave-in serum helps seal split ends for a softer, smoother finish. Additional vitamin C and plant-based squalane provide a glossy finish for even the most damaged hair.

Murad Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum, $80

Pure ascorbic acid is the most potent form of vitamin C available over the counter, which this new serum contains in addition to glycolic acid for cell turnover and phyto-lunimescent extract. The latter utilizes UV energy from the sun’s rays to safely illuminate your skin. That means you’ll look brighter, more even, and glowing.

Sigma Infinity Point Lipstick, $25

Tired of lipstick that rounds in its bullet over time? The teardrop shape that runs down the entire bullet causes the lipstick to always retain its initial pointed shape, making it great for sculpting the perfect pout every time. The shades all come in a satin finish, meaning it’ll leave your lips looking plump, while still adding intense color.

Redken Extreme Length Leave-In Treatment with Biotin, $25

What does biotin even do for our hair, anyway? Biotin works to fix and build the keratin that exists in our bodies. This leave-in treatment promotes growth by healing hair that may be damaged. Nothing will ever beat regular haircuts to get rid of dead ends, but this product is great for those moments in between.

RéVive Soleil Superieur Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sunscreen PA++++, $115

In addition to the brand’s signature Bio-Renewal Protein, which works to soften and smooth your skin, this luxurious chemical sunscreen offers reef-safe SPF and applies totally clear. This new face and body illuminizer is the ideal extension of UD’s Moondust range, and while each of the four shades is positively scrumptious, we’re partial to this rosy Horizon shade. Just apply it like you would a cream, and enjoy an otherworldly shimmer that refuses to flake off onto every piece of clothing you own.

Laura Mercier Conditioning Cleansing Oil, $40

Makeup giant Laura Mercier launched a permanent skin-care collection earlier this month, which contains pretty much everything you’d need on your bathroom shelves. Obagi Blue Brilliance Triple Acid Peel, $145

A blend of AHA and BHA (glycolic, salicylic, and lactic, to be exact) compose this at-home facial peel, which works to retexturize rough skin and keep your pores clear of dirt and debris. If you’re struggling with dullness or uneven texture, try using this every other week. We guarantee you’ll be impressed with the results.

Josh Rosebrook Enfleuria Botanical Fragrance, $125

Josh Rosebrook continually produces some of the most beautiful clean products on the market, and his latest, a botanical fragrance, now has a permanent place on our vanities. It’s the type of enticing scent that makes you want to lean in and take a second whiff.

With spring right around the corner, some of us may be preparing ourselves with an arsenal of acne-fighting products. Naturopathica’s new cleanser is gentle, yet extremely effective at deeply cleansing pores of impurities. Ingredients like colloidal silver work to rid the skin of acne-causing bacteria, while salicylic acid gently flushes buildup from pores.

Its whipped formula is lightweight and spreadable, making it perfect for the warmer days to come.

The Harmonist Moon Glory, $336

Transport yourself to a relaxing getaway with a single mist. Inspired by the scent of Hawaiian flowers at dusk, French fragrance designer Guillaume Flavigny concocted a breathtaking scent that is reminiscent of delicate floral waters, perfect for the warmer months ahead. Hinoki wood, ylang-ylang, queen of the night, and passionflower notes all come together to remind you of the feeling of warm sand between your toes and adventurous nights ahead.

Biossance Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral Sunscreen, $30

One of our favorite clean beauty brands has debuted a brand-new SPF with 100 percent non-nano zinc (meaning the particles aren’t so small that it can be absorbed into the bloodstream). It also contains cooling water lily and sugarcane-derived squalane, which helps keep your skin hydrated all day long.

Rodial Instant Filler Primer, $43

There are many different types of products that are often skipped over in people’s routines—primer is usually one of them. Priming the skin for makeup is a crucial step in achieving a flawless finish that will last all day. This new primer is great for filling in any texture and blurring pores to create a beautiful canvas for foundation. Don’t wear foundation? This primer can be worn under makeup or by itself.

After a long day, this new product by Josie Maran transports us to a place of zen. Its buttery formulation makes application a breeze, and it absorbs into the skin quickly. As the argan oil works to deeply moisturize the skin, CBD works to balance any problematic areas of the skin.

Youth to the People Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial, $54

There’s nothing quite as satisfying as the texture of exfoliated skin. This mask contains enzymes and micro-exfoliants that eliminate dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. The result? A complexion that not only looks bright and refreshed, but feels silky, too.

Nudestix Sun & Sea Palette, $75

Once again, Nudestix has us covered. Lord Jones Whole Plant Formula Acid Mantle Repair CBD Moisturizer, $75

You may be aware of your skin’s microbiome, but did you know that it has an acid mantle, too? The acid mantle is the chemical barrier that exists naturally on the skin’s surface to protect it from any bad bacteria or contaminants. This new moisturizer does an exceptional job to restore and repair acid mantles that may have been damaged or lost due to over-cleansing or over-exfoliation. Not to mention, the skin both looks and feels like silk after application.

Moroccanoil Smooth Style Ceramic Heated Brush, $130

This ceramic paddle creates a texture in hair that is somewhere between a blowout and freshly ironed hair, leaving it voluminous and without an ounce of frizz. What’s even better? It smooths hair in minutes, meaning you get to enjoy a bit more of your morning before a day of Zooming.
