7 Great Wine Delivery Options Right Now

Drink good wine—even if you’re in your pajamas and sitting on the couch.

Self Care at Home

These times of public health crisis and social distancing are challenging, stressful, and just plain weird for all of us. We are staying home in an effort to protect the health of those around us and ourselves, which means many of the things that bring us joy, like going to the theater or sports games or dining in our favorite restaurants, are not an option right now. But one of life’s greatest pleasures—wine—is still readily available to all of us (and probably much-needed during these trying times), thanks to the many restaurants and wine stores working hard to bring the bottles straight to your door right now. If you’re going to be stuck at home, alone or with loved ones, you might as well be drinking something delicious. Here, we’ve rounded up our favorite local wine delivery options right now. This is a great way to simultaneously support local businesses who are desperate for your help at the moment, and score something fantastic to drink.

NYC

Leisir

83 Henry Street, NYC, 10002

This new Chinatown spot features a small but mighty selection of all your favorite organic, biodynamic, and sustainable wines. They’re offering pickup from their store from 1:00 to 7:00 PM daily and free local delivery and delivery to the rest of Manhattan for a small fee. They are making one nightly delivery to Williamsburg; just request via text before 6:00 PM to confirm your order. Place all orders online and text/email/call (917.783.3798) with your name, order, and delivery address to set up your delivery. Follow @leisirwine for the latest updates on pickup and delivery options.

Parcelle

511 W 38th St, NYC, 10018

The team behind Charlie Bird, Pasquale Jones, and Legacy Records restaurants also has a wine shop in Hudson Yards that does on-demand delivery in NYC and ships nationwide. If you’re ordering nationally, place your order on the website, and that delicious Burgundy can be at your doorstep in a day (the speedy shipping will cost you, but in times like these, it could be worth it). For local delivery, place your order via Caviar.

Wine Therapy

171 Elizabeth St, NYC, 10012

Our go-to shop in Nolita for biodynamic, organic, and natural wines, Wine Therapy is offering curbside pickup and deliveries over the phone or from their website. They’re doing free ground deliveries for orders over $200, so maybe it’s time to bulk-order some Bichi for the warmer days ahead (or just to get you through this).

Niche Niche

43 MacDougal St, NYC, 10011, & 127 MacDougal St, NYC, 10012

Ariel Arce’s perennially sold-out Greenwich Village wine-driven spot (yes, the one you’ve had nonstop Resy alerts set for) is bringing the party to your house tonight. Book your Niche Niche takeout dinner for two via Resy ($45), and get a Cork and Carry Bottle for $25. And her other hot spot, Tokyo Record Bar, is doing Omakase Bento Boxes for $20 and sake to go just down the street. They are currently just doing pickup, but delivery starts next week.

People’s Wine Shop

115 Delancey Street, NYC, 10002

You might not be able to sip natural wine at Contra or Wildair right now, but you can get their wines delivered to your place, thanks to their Lower East Side wine shop, Peoples Wine. To place your order for curbside delivery or pickup, email delivery@peoples.wine and include your name, phone number, choice of pickup or delivery, address (if delivering), date for pickup or delivery, number of bottles, style of wine, and price range per bottle.

NYC & SF

Verve Wine

24 Hubert Street, NYC, 10013, & 2358 Fillmore St, SF, 94115

Master sommelier Dustin Wilson’s well-curated shop, featuring small-production, artisanal wines, might have closed its doors in NYC and San Francisco for now, but you can still stock up digitally (and get 15 percent off online purchases at the moment). Place your order online for local delivery or pickup at the storefront. They put together “Work from Home Survival Kits” featuring their top picks in each category, from silky and aromatic reds to light and bright whites.

L.A.

Helen’s Wines

412 N Fairfax Ave #1717, LA, 90036

Helen Johannesen’s tiny natural wine shop out of John & Vinny’s is full of all the wines we want to drink right now, from Tschida Rosé to Chateau de Béru Chablis. Luckily, Helen’s has nationwide delivery and local delivery anywhere in L.A. If you don’t know what to pick, they’ll help you out by curating an order for you; just email orders@helenswines.com.

Not in NYC, L.A., or SF? Not to worry. Parcelle, Wine Therapy, Verve, and Helen’s ship across the country. Alternatively, check Resy for a comprehensive, updated list of your local wine restaurants and shops doing wine delivery right now. Or buy directly from your producer via their websites. Many of them ship across the country; just keep in mind rules vary by state.
