The Making of Fashion Week: Dion Lee

Ever wonder how those FOMO-inducing runway shows come together? Same. And because we can’t leave any stone unturned (and because we’re lucky as hell to have access to the best and brightest in the industry—have we mentioned lately that we love our jobs?), we had to find out (and have been doing just that, here). So we hit up our pal, Australian designer Dion Lee, and asked him to bring us along for every step of planning his spring/summer 2017 show. In an age where people are endlessly questioning the validity of fashion shows in the age of Instagram, Snapchat, and Instagram Stories (wtf is next?!), we found about seventeen totally valid reasons for our favorite week of spectacles. At the top of the list: the fact that incredibly talented people like Lee, his hair and makeup team, producer Anne Ryan, and his stylist get to flex their creative muscles for our benefit. Below, everything that goes into those fifteen glorious minutes.
