September 2016 Horoscopes: Scorpio
OCTOBER 23 — NOVEMBER 21
If you’ve heard the advice that “you are the sum of the five people you spend the most time with”, you’ll definitely want to put that into action this month. A Virgo solar eclipse on the 1st marks a new beginning in your friendships and your relationship to the community, so be mindful of who you let into your inner circle. This eclipse is square Mars and Saturn in the part of your horoscope that rules value, so you may discover that you and your current groups find totally different things important and need to part ways. Alternately, you could decide to start a joint moneymaking venture with a group of besties. Be careful -- an opposition from Neptune means things may not be all fun and games. Still, Pluto in your communication zone means you’ll be able to work out a system that works well for everyone involved.
On the 7th, the sun lines up with your ruler (Pluto) in the parts of your horoscope that rule networking. If you need to meet with someone important or want to circulate in VIP circles, mark that day on your calendar—you’ll have the charisma you need to make an amazing impression! A few days later, on the 11th, Venus helps you turn on the charm despite any haters. Later in the month, Mercury aligns with Pluto to fill up your social calendar, so make sure you have an outfit ready for every occasion. By the time Pluto goes direct on the 26th, you might even need an assistant to field your calls! If nothing else, you’ll be relieved when Mercury retrograde comes to an end on the 22nd. Say goodbye to tech snafus and missed signals, and watch as your daily routine returns to some semblance of normalcy.
Mid month, the Pisces lunar eclipse illuminates your pleasure sector. It’s on Chiron, an asteroid named for the centaur who trained Hercules and other Greek heroes for battle. This is about sizing up your investment in creative or romantic competition. This moon is opposite Mercury and Jupiter in your friendship zone, so don’t let competition with frenemies get out of hand. A square from Mars (still in your value sector) asks, “Is it worth it?” If the answer is no, just let it go.
The month closes with a Libra new moon in your spirituality zone on the 30th. It’s aligned with the philosopher’s planet, Jupiter, giving you the chance to rewrite your personal manifesto. Jupiter is great for travel, so this is an excellent time to book yourself in for a personal retreat. With a square from Mars and Pluto in your home sector you’d probably rather curl up at home, but good vibes from Saturn in your travel zone say that you should take a staycation at the very least.
