It’s womenswear like you’ve never seen before.

It’s pretty rare for us to fall in love with every single piece from a brand the first time we come across it, but alas, such was the case when we stumbled upon TTSWTRS (short for tattoo sweaters). A line out of Ukraine and founded by creative director Anna Osmekhina, the brand collaborates with tattoo artists, bringing their designs to life on everything from bodysuits and t-shirts to silk dresses, corsets, and denim. “At first we did not plan to create a brand,” explains Osmekhina. “It was supposed to be a collaboration of me as a stylist with tattoo artist Ian Levin. [But] when we met, I was so thrilled with his energy that we created a capsule of sweatshirts with the working title Tattoosweaters. We sent a photo of the sweatshirts to the Colette showroom in Paris just for fun, and they ordered a consignment from us. It really inspired us, and we continued working on the project.”

Fast-forward six years, and TTSWTRS is now available globally (NYC, you can find the label at Vfiles). “I was absolutely sure that I wasnt ready to become a designer—for me, designers are very talented individuals,” Osmekhina says. “I am very respectful of this profession, but in my case, ignorance didn’t give me the opportunity to be afraid, and I just tried until the TTSWTRS brand was in 12 countries in the concept stores of my dream.”

It’s meticulous work placing the tattoo designs onto the actual clothing. Osmekhina told us that she and the brand’s graphic designer sometimes shift the placement up to 300 times. As for choosing the designers? “I always have a mood of the collection, and it dictates the style of tattoo artists who we invite to collaborate.” And just when we thought we couldn’t fall any more in love with the brand, we learned that this year the label plans to work with companies like 4ocean to help save the ocean from plastic waste. Go ahead, TTSWTRS, take all of our money.
