Storytelling is about more than just words—scent can be used as a narrative tool to punctuate our everyday experiences. Adele Casagrande and Edoardo Fendi knew this to be true when they opened their workshop in Rome. The scent of fur and leather, the city’s olfactory profile—these notes are at the heart of the essence of Fendi. And now, Fendi is expanding into fragrance and launching seven unique scents inspired by the key players who made the house what it is today.

There’s the fittingly named Casa Grande, created by perfumer Quentin Bisch and inspired by matriarch Adele Casagrande Fendi, which features notes of amber, leather, myrrh, and vanilla. Perché No, inspired by Silvia Venturini Fendi, contains notes of spice, fresh linen, and pink pepper. Bisch is also the nose behind Sempre Mio, a scent inspired by Delfina Delettrez Fendi and Marrakech, as well as Prima Terra, the perfume inspired by designer Kim Jones and his childhood home, Africa.

The other fragrances in the collection include Ciao Amore, developed by perfumer Fanny Bal and inspired by Leonetta Luciano Fendi, featuring notes of fig, orange blossom, and warm tonka bean absolute; Dolce Bacio, created by perfumer Anne Flipo, personifies Anna Fendi; and La Baguette, also developed by Flipo, represents the twins Tazio and Dardo Vascellari Delettrez Fendi. “I was pregnant when I designed the Baguette bag,” writes Silvia Venturini Fendi in a press release from the brand. “It's a timeless piece that will always be associated with the idea of a new generation.”

“The fragrance collection tells the story of Fendi from another point of view,” adds Silvia Venturini Fendi. “It expresses the essence of the Maison in a different way, by telling its story in a different language. Today, at Fendi, we can readily say that we have explored and used all the senses.“

These perfumes will be available in Fendi boutiques and at fendi.com from June 20.
