A nod to 1999 Chanel and a reinforcement of the polka dot trend, to name a few.

In Venice, where stars ascended in gondolas and graced the red carpet in custom and archival looks alike, Ayo Edebiri seized the opportunity to reference 1999 Chanel. Meanwhile, over in New York City, Lola Tung reinforced that the polka dot trend is here to stay, while Hailey Bieber reminded us that the office siren trend should always remain relevant.

Over here at Coveteur HQ in NYV, we are monitoring celebrity looks daily, trading favorites in group chats, and noting ways to incorporate elements into our rotations. Picking favorites is hard, but someone has to do it.

Greta Lee committed to making a statement on a Venice Film Festival red carpet. Her custom forest green (with navy trip and details) Dior mini-dress by new creative director, Jonathan Anderson, featured a dramatic plunge, oversized draped bow, and bubbly sleeves.

Colman Domingo

If any asked me for the male fashion icon of the moment, my answer, without hesitation, would be Colman Domingo. He is consistently redefining and pushing the boundaries of mens fashion, he is unafraid to take risks, and he very rarely misses. Even when he misses, it's not really a miss. He's just that good. Domingo wore custom Valentino on a Venice Film Festival red carpet. His suit featured flared pants, a belted waist, and statement-making gold shoulder embellishments.

Lola Tung

On a press day in New York City, “The Summer I Turned Pretty” star Lola Tung went playful. She paired a 404 Studio tri-color knit dress with polka dot tights and Vivaia Cristina 'sneakerina' shoes.

Julianne Hough

Julianne Hough strutted down a New York City sidewalk in a look that some may consider minimal, but that I consider notable. She wore a simple sleek poncho-like black dress, carried a clutch, threw on some shades, and called it a day.

At the Venice Film Festival, Ayo Edebiri made all of our Chanel dreams come true. She for a custom white Chanel pantsuit with asymmetric buttons, inspired by Karl Lagerfeld's Spring 1999 Couture collection.

Hailey Bieber

Did you think the office siren trend was over? Think again. Hailey Bieber stepped out in New York in black flared trousers that fit like a glove and a buttery cream fitted leather blazer, presumed to be vintage YSL. Her look was complete with a little peak of lacey lingerie and tiny sunglasses.

Rihanna's latest maternity looks serves as proof that our staples will always carry us through. For a day out in Los Angeles, she paired baggy ripped jeans with a striped baby tee and pumps.
