Datrianna Meeks and Tashay Green started dating when they were sophomores at Howard University—but they met during high school in Chicago through mutual friends. Their love went the distance, and they married this year in the glow of the Arizona desert.
From their sweet proposal story—or, we should say, stories, as they each proposed to each other separately (and now we’re wondering why this isn’t a thing)—to their stunning wedding attire, this is a couple that mastered the art of creating chic wedding vibes while still keeping the atmosphere laid-back and comfortable for their guests.
For the big day, Green wore a Max Mara silk-satin blazer and ivory trousers with Casadei knotted plissé-satin sandals, and Meeks wore a dress and veil from Adrienne’s Bridal New York and shoes from Brother Vellies. Rounded out with makeup by Amber Amos, Green and Meeks were a vision in the Arizona sun. Photographer Annalise Marie was on hand to capture stunning images of the pair and their loved ones.
Click through to see the brides’ gorgeous peony-filled bouquets created by Rita’s Floral Designs, framed by a backdrop of mountains, palm trees, and cacti that only Arizona could serve.
