Out of all the things we think are funny, we can’t say divorce is one of them—unless, of course, we’re talking about the HBO show of the same name, starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Molly Shannon. The two women, along with their talented co-stars, such as Thomas Haden Church and Talia Balsam, typically leave us chuckling over some serious situations. Their characters’ lives (and struggles) just seem way too relatable (even for those who haven’t even said “I do,” let alone “I don’t anymore”), and that deadpan delivery of the most outrageous lines gets us every. single. time.
Yet, while Divorce goes back and forth between laughable moments and deeper ones (it falls somewhere in the dramedy realm), our interview with the two ladies included more of the former.
