The Best Investment Bags Of 2025
They're not what you might think.
2025 is quickly coming to a close and luxury resale is as popular as ever—the U.S. secondhand market hit $56 billion this year, and resale makes up for over half of that value. While one justifying the purchase of a luxury handbag with the line "it has great resale value" might just sound like a form of coping, it's actually sometimes true. It's all very much dependent on the brand, the model, how rare it is, and what condition it's left in.
Rebag, a technology-enhanced luxury resale platform, has just released its sixth annual Clair Report, analyzing resale trends and brand popularity. This year, Hermés earned the spot as the biggest brand, with other top contenders being Goyard, The Row and Miu Miu, with Chanel and Louis Vuitton also proving to be popular in terms of nostalgic revivals. The bags with the highest resale value from each brand prove a few things: classic silhouettes and logos from heritage brands will continue to be popular, there is a high demand for quiet luxury, and newer bags can also make their mark in the resale market, especially when they combine timeless elements true to the brand with a modern upgrade.
Each brand's top resellers might not be quite what you were expecting—it's not the classic Hermés Birkin or Chanel flap bag, despite those performing well. If anything, it's a testament to both brand loyalty and the evolution of trends at the same time.
Ahead, check out our favorite luxury brands' top reselling bags, along with how well they perform.
