Every Item Friends of Coveteur Are Packing for Their Summer Travel
Plus, where they're jetting off to.

With travel restrictions easing up in the U.S., we're all eager to plan our first trips post-COVID. For some of us, it's about visiting close friends in other states or easing back in by traveling somewhere slightly more local or low-key. For others, it's about taking advantage of those EU openings and booking that long-awaited summer on the Med. Regardless of where you choose to go, with remote schedules still in effect for many and vaccinations on the rise, it's the perfect time to take advantage. Below, we spoke to seven friends of Coveteur about where they're going and what they're packing for their first trip post-COVID.

"After the long winter and rainy spring, I've been fantasizing about going somewhere tropical but not too far or exotic! Somewhere I can spend the day at the beach and head straight to a dance floor—preferably in the same outfit! A short trip to Miami would be the best remedy for post-COVID travel—ideally to keep things light and easy. This CUUP swimwear in lava layered under a Kwaidan printed top is easy enough to make me feel pulled together, yet bold enough for...anything! Then, of course, a book by Murakami, one of my favorite authors, on running!"

"It's quite ironic that I would like to travel to an almost isolated area after being isolated for over a year. But I'd like to travel to Namibia, one of my bucket list destinations. It's slightly remote, yet insanely beautiful and serene. I'll be packing this Missoni crochet bucket hat, this cool MSB exposed dress, and some Hermes sandals."

"I just took a trip from my hometown of Barcelona to Paros and Santorini, where I did an artist residency in the beautiful islands. I'm now headed to Mexico City for work, where I'll likely take a weekend escape to Oaxaca. Then hopefully back home to Los Angeles after a few months of wandering. I am packing a highly coveted jumpsuit from Paloma Wool, some film to capture everything around me, and a new Porto pouch to carry all of my travel essentials and also elevate any outfit for a night out with friends."

"This summer I'm heading to Italy and Mallorca, two places in the world I've missed so much during the lockdown. There's a unique spirit about a European summer, where the days are long and the living is easy. I'm looking forward to settling at the seaside along the Amalfi Coast and the Balearic Sea. I'll be packing my new espadrilles that I designed in partnership with Jack Erwin, my Leica camera, and Lesse face mist."

"As soon as we were given the opportunity to receive our second vaccine, we booked our summer holiday to Pantelleria. I had been wanting to visit for some time now, and this summer seemed like the perfect opportunity to disconnect and recalibrate. Located between Sicily and Tunisia, this little island is filled with history, ancient ruins, beach caves, and natural hot springs. I'm excited to unplug, unwind, drive around discovering beaches and trying their local cuisine—fresh fish, aubergines, olives, tomatoes, and, of course, their legendary capers and famed local wines! I'll be packing Norte linens, Emily Levine's loose silhouettes, and Crush Collection knits!"

"I've been dreaming of Formentera. I booked a trip before the pandemic, so now I have no choice but to go! When packing for long trips, I tend to stick to the classics. A favorite book like Light Years by James Salter to bring a bit of New York with me, a simple maillot that can double as a tank, and a pair of tried-and-true Birkenstocks are my ideal travel companions."

"Mexico is always a good idea. After the year we have had, all I need is a proper vacation. Relaxation, sun, beach, good food, and good friends. Hotel Esencia is one of my favorite spots in Mexico—it's close enough to the hip places, yet secluded enough that you feel like you are in your own little bubble. I'm hoping to have long days reading at the beach in my new neon green bikini while hoping for a tan. As well, endless Mexican lunches with friends catching up, wearing my bright yellow dress to blend in with the decor. And who knows, maybe I will even venture out to Tulum one night to dance the night away in the Rat & Boa zebra set—because if not now, when?"
