Low-Rise Pants Are Back (Again)
If you’re still team high-rise, here are three looks to convince you to, quite literally, take the plunge.

Y2K fashion already pushes boundaries, but if there’s one element that causes the greatest stir, it’s the comeback of low-rise pants. Childhood images of the cool older girls wearing their light wash, low-rise skinny jeans with a gray hoodie flash through my mind—as does almost anything Paris Hilton wore in the early aughts. To be fair, today’s rendition of low-rise pants features looser, baggier fits rather than the original ultra slim or bootcut styles. Julia Fox, Teyana Taylor, and Dua Lipa further validate the nostalgic trend as each has been spotted rocking low-slung trousers. If you’re still avidly team high-rise, here are three looks to convince you to, quite literally, take the plunge.

Edgy and stylish, this look is perfect for any casual hangouts you have planned for the early fall. Add a nice pop of color in your choice of outerwear and pair with a bold printed shoe to tie your look together.
Knit Sweater + Exposed Underwear + Chino Pants

This combo is reminiscent of Serena van der Woodsen—preppy and stylish with a splash of risqué thanks to the low-rise pants and exposed underwear duo.
Front-Tie Shirt + White Denim + Mini Bag

This all-white combo offers a looser fit in the form of a slight puff sleeve and a wide leg. Overall, the ensemble is neat and chic. If you’re still wary, shift the focus as influencer Katie Giorgadze did with the front-tie top.
