When the curtain closes at the Oscars, the Vanity Fair after-party is one of the most coveted invites in Hollywood. The stars that walked down the event’s red carpet exuded glamour; however, if we do have to play favorites, one celebrity stood out amongst the rest: Barbie Ferreira.

Since her debut on HBO’s hit series Euphoria, all eyes have been on Ferreira and her show-stopping beauty looks. The actress and YSL Beauty’s newest U.S. ambassador isn’t afraid to experiment with color, and last night was no exception.
Ferreira opted for this season’s Fendi, wearing a strapless silk gown with stripes in shades of golden yellow and an array of pinks. She paired the dress with a smoldering makeup look.
“For Barbie's look we wanted something to complement her post-vacation bronze,” explains makeup artist Kali Kennedy. The process is collaborative, adds Kennedy. “We always try to create a mood and tonight it was centered around the sensuality of [YSL’s] Black Opium scent.”

Ferreria’s soft, warm glow was paired with rosy, smokey eyes, fluttery lashes, and a high-shine gloss. To make Ferreira’s lashes pop, Kennedy applied the Radical Volumizing Mascara before swiping on Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara for added volume. On the lids, a trio of shades from the Couture Color Clutch Palette—golden yellow, matte rose, and golden brown—were applied to create a modern smokey eye.
Adding to the post-vacation glow, Kennedy tapped Nu Glow In Balm onto the high points of Ferreira’s face “to add a little dew” to the skin before applying foundation. “I always recommend using a light touch,” says Kennedy. “I want to create a seamless yet raw look. You can always add more, but it’s much harder to take away.”
To give the star’s lips depth and dimension, Kennedy applied Slim Velvet Radical Matte Lipstick in Released Nude before topping things off with Rouge Volupté Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick in Sweet Pink for a high-watt shine.
