From office siren to business casual, we love and appreciate all trends that incorporate suiting and silhouettes typically associated with menswear. Now, Amelia Gray has gifted us the perfect example of how to achieve these aesthetics with an it-girl twist and trends at the top of mind. We are very grateful for Amelia Gray's recent contributions to the fashion zeitgeist: her take on the naked-dress trend, her varsity jacket, and affinity for baggy low-rise pants, for example. Now, the budding model extends her repertoire with the pairing of a grey suit with slouchy boots (tucked in, nonetheless), the perfect pairing of a tried and true concept with a current trend.
We forecasted slouchy boots as a fall trend and, to our satisfaction, Gray just cosigned it. At the same time, she made a case for a beloved silhouette pairing: a fitted top and baggy pants. Her grey suit consisted of a slightly cropped and perfectly fitted jacket with a nipped waist, while her baggy pants featured a single perfect pleat.

While pairing suits with shoes, flats, loafers, or a pump might be the first options to come to mind. Gray, however, took a different approach with her pants tucked into her slouchy boots, creating more volume in her pants and more shape to the overall look. It's a boho pirate fall after all!

This, all in all, has us rethinking how we approach office-wear and suiting, especially as I personally get more and more into the 'fashion has no rules' mindset. At the end of the day, volume, shape, and unexpected silhouettes are more exciting than anything else.
