What’s In the KKW x Mario Makeup Collection and When You Can Buy It
The new Kim Kardashian West and Mario Dedivanovic collaboration includes an eyeshadow palette, lipstick, and two lip glosses.
Secret’s out! The truth is we kinda knew the KKW x Mario makeup collaboration was coming—Mario Dedivanovic (AKA @makeupbymario) did tease his project with Kim Kardashian West in our story with him last winter. After some sneak preview posts, we now know for sure that it will launch on kkwbeauty.com on April 5 at noon Pacific Time—exactly 10 years to the day that Kim and Mario first met—and according to the KKW Beauty Instagram this evening it will include a nude Creme Lipstick ($20) and two High Shine Lip Glosses in a dusty pink and pale shade, and (what we’re most excited about) 10 Pan Eyeshadow Palette with metallics, plus a matte rust, shimmery purple, and shimmery deep indigo called Libra. That’s definitely the hero shade—the two are both Libras and the color is seriously mesmerizing.
On his Instagram stories, Mario spoke about the background story. “For many, many, many months, a long time ago, I started pulling inspiration from the thousands and thousands of images that Kim and I have had for the past decade.... I started pulling our favorites and from there I narrowed it down and started choosing colors that were similar from a lot of the different looks.... I wanted the palette for anyone to be able to recreate our past looks.... There’s always been over the years key products, like crease colors, and highlight colors.” As for the bold Libra blue? “I wanted to put that in there to create inspiration,” he said.
