They really make all the difference, guys.

Truthfully, I can't remember the last time I was so flippin' obsessed with every. single. part of a brand's campaign: the clothes, the print ads, the short films, etc. But then Gucci just went all :100: and I'm at a point where I check their Instagram more often than anyone else's (all in hopes they'll reveal something more spectacular). This purse is a perfect example and literally makes me want to jump out of my skin in excitement. Superficial, I know, but I can't help it.
If you want me to be more literal, well, I can, because I swear by these artisanal organic ginger supplements for keeping me feeling my best—especially throughout the particularly cold months. Plus, Fueguia's Agua Magnolia fragrance (which, by the way, I stock up on every time I'm in Buenos Aires) always reminds me of summer days. See, happiness!

I'm the type of person, who, when it comes to utilitarian items, unless I find something that is pretty much perfect, I won't buy it. I'll just go without, no matter how inconvenient. Even when it comes to actual necessities, like shower curtains (side note: WTF is it with every shower curtain being covered in the worst eyesore patterns?).
That said, when I finally do find said thing, it makes me violently happy. Cue these Le Creuset salt and pepper shakers (one pink, one blue): I literally didn't own any for my entire adult life until I found these a few months ago. And guess what? They fill me with an irrational amount of glee. Same thing with this Weleda rose body wash: I obviously owned soap, but for me, it's one of those things that can change the entire course of your morning. Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino is also bomb. Obviously. And finally: anything frilly, like this Rosie Assoulin top. Life is just exponentially better when ruffles cascade from your armpits.

There are a few, somewhat superficial things that will, almost always, make me feel great—or, at the very least, better. The first: a great pair of jeans. At the moment, that means high-waisted and straight legged, exactly like this Current/Elliott pair, here. I can't explain it, but there's something about good denim that inspires a power walk. The second: a great scent. And anything from Byredo is like invisible armour. The third: something glittery. These bangles by Juliet & Co, well, pretty much fit the bill perfectly.

You know that feeling when you need a serious vacation from your vacation? It sounds pretty ridiculous, but it's actually the most true. Especially when your vacation includes a 25+ hour travel time. So behold the three things that make me feel semi-human while battling the post-holiday blues: a shiny statement Juliet & Co. earring to throw on so no one notices I'm wearing the same jeans and crewneck sweater combo as the day before; Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream, which I can attest is indeed magical—when I slathered it on it erased all evidence of the aforementioned 25+ plane journey; and finally a whole bunch of fancy paper bound in fancy leather that when written in with an equally fancy pen, makes everything seem a whole lot more glam. Oh, and you can even use it to count down the days until your next vacation.
