Shake Up Your Beauty Routine with These Fall Staples

These are the products we'll be using all season long.

While you don't need a specific reason to try out new beauty launches, the changing of the seasons does serve as a good excuse. And while summer is hands-down my favorite time of the year, fall is a great time to experiment with hair, skin-care, and makeup products now that you don't have to worry about heat and humidity completely ruining your look. Plus, it's also a good moment to introduce products back into your routine to combat any summer damage. There's also that back-to-school energy that lingers in the air every autumn—it just evokes the feeling of wanting a fresh start, no matter how old you are. Below, our staffers are telling us all about the beauty buys that are going to be a part of their fall routines.

EGF Power Cream

When skin-care queen Dr. Anetta Reszko tells you to buy a product, you run and don't walk! This is Bioeffect's latest incredible and innovative offering—a deeply nourishing face cream that targets wrinkles, loss of firmness, and dehydration (among other things). I've been using it for a few weeks now and can already see a noticeable difference in my skin's plumpness, particularly around the eyes. Definitely recommend!

Intensive Repair Leave In Conditioner

I've been letting my hair air dry for the better part of summer and can feel and see the difference in my hair's texture and breakage. In lieu of lots of heat-shield products, I've been turning to this new leave-in conditioner that was developed for use on dry, damaged, or color-treated hair. The advanced formula contains ingredients with restorative properties like macadamia oil and hydrolyzed rhodophycea extract to repair the hair, while the mist also helps with frizz and to avoid damage from natural pollutants.

Dark Spot Sun Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50

This physical sunscreen is fabulous! It's super lightweight, so it works great under foundation or tinted moisturizer for everyday use, and is formulated with antioxidants like vitamin C and vitamin E that also work to combat the damaging effects of the environment. Double win!

Miss Dior Eau de Parfum

The latest version in the Miss Dior fragrance family takes a bit of a detour from its predecessors. At the heart of the scent is the Centifolia rose, which is complemented by the floral peony and lily-of-the-valley notes and hints of creamy benzoin and sandalwood for a modern perfume that still feels fresh.

Flush Balm in Raspberry Beret

This cream blush blends in like a dream and feels featherlight on my skin. I tap it onto the highpoints of my face—cheekbones, temples, and brow bones—for a natural-looking flush of color.

Merit Beauty
$28

Oil Bath for the Senses

Ever since I started living alone, I've become a huge bath person, and this oil is now a mainstay in my evening ritual. Created with an essential oil blend that includes ylang-ylang, patchouli, lavender, and rosemary, the rejuvenating blend imparts long-lasting hydration and softness while soothing your senses.

Skin Food Original Ultra-rich Cream

As soon as I feel the cold winds of fall coming in, I start immediately slathering my face with Skin Food. This cult favorite works for everyone—it's like giving your skin a tall glass of water. The cream uses sunflower oil, sweet almond oil, plus rosemary, chamomile, and pansy extracts to leave your skin looking plump and dewy.

Weleda
$19

Solar Paint in Ray

Glossier still has me in their beauty grip after all these years, especially because I like to apply makeup with my hands. I dab their bronzer on my cheekbones so I look like I actually vacationed a lot this summer. The liquid formula and luminosity gives your skin a sun-kissed look instead of a contoured look. It seamlessly blends in with a cream blush, but also stands great alone.

24/7 Glide-on Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Perversion

My go-to eye look this year has been a lot of black eyeliner (taking notes from the early aughts). I think it looks cool to draw a thicker line on top and smudge with either a brush or your finger to make it look smoky. I do the same on my bottom waterline, as well. This pencil is super smooth and glides on easily. You can smudge it, but it won't wear off throughout the night—and if black isn't your thing, they have a range of cool colors to choose from.

Super Nudes Nudegasm Bronze, Sculpt & Glow Face Palette

I fell in love with another Charlotte Tilbury palette this summer that helped me feign a sun-kissed glow. Luckily, this array of multi-use nude shades looks like it will carry me right into fall. The eye smoke looks like it will complement everything from denim to camel sweaters this season, too.

CoQ-10 Toning

I swear by this balancing toner and won't be skipping this skin-care step as the seasons change. I use it twice a day after cleansing, and if nothing else, it helps the rest of my products absorb into a clean, balanced canvas. This fall, I'm hoping it helps my moisturizers work twice as hard so that I can avoid any dry patches.

Indie Lee
$34

Sugar Advanced Therapy Treatment Lip Balm

I always layer on lip balms when the weather changes. It honestly wouldn't even feel like fall if I didn't have at least one pumpkin spice latte and two to three lip products in every handbag. This one is also just a cult-classic staple that I always go back to.

Gimme Brow + Tinted Volumizing Eyebrow Gel

By the time September rolls around each year, my brows have effectively been fully bleached by a summer sun, a look that I personally cannot pull off. After trying a variety of pomades and pencils from a number of different brands throughout the years, this gel from Benefit is the holy grail for my eyebrows.

Elixir Ultime Oil Serum

While summer is all about beach waves and air drying, it's time to finally reunite with my beloved Dyson Airwrap. This Kérastase Oil is a go-to for adding shine to my blowouts—it may be pricey, but a little goes a long way.

Kérastase
$51

Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk for Brown to Dark Hair

To help the aforementioned blowout last longer and avoid the daily pumping of liquid gold Kérastase Oil, I turn to my all-time fav dry shampoo. I find that this works best when applied before bed, but I always keep the travel size on me just in case.
