Chanel Is Headed To NYC & Phoebe Philo Is Taking Over Mayfair
This week on the Fashion Bulletin.

Welcome back to Fashion Bulletin, a weekly column where Coveteur's senior fashion editor, Ella O’Keeffe, recaps all the buzzy industry news you from the week.
Any day Phoebe Philo graces us with a morsel of information about her future plans is a good day to me, and this week, the cult designer revealed that she’s ready to open her first standalone store on Carlos Place in Mayfair’s Mount Street neighborhood.
The decision to open in a decidedly more private shopping destination than, say, London’s Bond Street is perfectly aligned with the elusive designer’s general ethos, and marks a strategic next step in the eponymous brand’s evolution. Launching only last year, her offering included all of the wardrobe staples and product categories, offered in a drop-by-drop format to minimize overproduction. Philo’s design connection to permanence is now carrying through to a brick and mortar concept, and will allow Philophiles to experience the British designer’s world in a more tangible way—- that is, if you’re in Mayfair.
Chanel Returns To The Big Apple

Chanel is having a New York Christmas! The house is tipped to show its next Métiers d’Art collection designed by Matthieu Blazy on December 2, 2025 in New York City. Working under Raf Simons during his stint at Calvin Klein, Blazy became part of the Belgian designer’s NYC team, giving him a personal connection to the city. Further to this, Karl Lagerfeld’s last ever Métiers d’Art, just two months before his death, was staged in New York— giving the House even deeper ties to the city beyond Gabrielle Chanel’s personal love for it.
If this collection draws on any inspiration from Blazy’s Calvin Klein days, we will all have something to look forward to come December.
Marc Jacobs Debuts The Cristina Bag
Marc Jacobs
This week, Marc Jacobs released its Who Is She campaign, introducing The Cristina bag, which we caught a glimpse of at Jacobs’ Fall 2025 show two weeks ago. The silhouette marks the next chapter in the evolution of the Marc Jacobs handbag collection, offering a shape that draws inspiration from Y2K Itgirls with a modern point of view. For the slightly more grown-up customer who doesn’t resonate with the emblazoned Marc Jacobs accessories, the Cristina offers an accessible option that feels current.
Melissa Collaborates With Diesel On New Footwear
Melissa X Diesel
Footwear brand Melissa has collaborated with Diesel for a capsule collection featuring three new shoe styles. Following the success of its many previous collabs (see: the Melissa + Y/Project Court Shoe kitten heels), Diesel has tapped the footwear brand to introduce the Quantum Thong, Quantum Platform, and Quantum Sneaker X, all in the brand’s signature Melflex avegan, plastic-like material. I’m predicting many-a-downtown girl will be out and about in the Quantum Thong this summer. Including me.
Family Style & Takeaway Host A Summer Soirée
Last night, I attended a summer soirée at Parcelle wine bar in the West Village, hosted by Family Style’s sister publication Takeaway and H&M. The Dirty Shirleys and margaritas were strong, and the indoor-outdoor setting felt leisurely in a European way. Everyone wore their custom Takeaway pointelle H&M tank tops and fanned away the heat with paper fans. It was so insanely hot so we needed it. It felt good to attend a no-frills party where there was no pressure of occasionally awkward assigned seating. Everyone just lounging and chatting and embracing the city heat.
Vans Launches A New Campaign
Vans
More footwear news comes via Vans, who yesterday released its New Future campaign, dedicated to elevating the Old Skool (the second skate shoe style the brand ever launched) through the lens of four inspirational athletes. Efron Danzig, Cocona Hiraki, Tania Cruz, and Karina Rozunko star in the imagery, and partnered with the Vans design team to create four “deeply personal and fashion-forward takes” on the iconic silhouette, from corset-inspired lacing to custom metal hardware.
