When waking up in her pristine Brooklyn brownstone, Paloma Elsesser would ideally have zero plans. This is notable because we know Elsesser as many things—a supermodel, a writer, a fashion icon, a body positivity advocate who helped redefine industry standards–and, in general, booked and busy. Now, U.S. ambassador of Miu Miu Beauty is the latest addition to her already lengthy resume. This news isn't at all surprising though, as Elsesser has been considered a Miu Miu girl for years and Miutine, the house's latest fragrance, is all about capturing an unconventional and wholly unique energy that is a large part of the brand's ethos, and is something that can be found in Elsesser in spades.

Below, Coveteur caught up and got up close and personal with our forever Miu Miu muse, Paloma Elsesser.

What's your astrology sign and do you relate?

"I’m an Aries. People always focus on the fire part—the drive, the restlessness—but there’s also a softness in that sign, a kind of sensitivity underneath. I think I live between those two poles."

How would you describe how you're feeling right now in three words?

"Grounded. Curious. Slightly defiant."

What's the best thing you've read lately?

"The Mushroom at the End of the World" by Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing. It’s such a beautiful meditation on how life persists—how things grow in ruins, literally and metaphorically. It made me think about how resilience can be quiet, collaborative, even tender."

What color is your aura?

"Probably a deep green. Something alive but calm—like moss or seaweed. It changes depending on my mood."

What's your signature scent?

"Right now, Miutine. I’m drawn to scents that evolve—that don’t hit you all at once. There’s a brightness, sweetness, something a little wild to it."

What's your favorite Miu Miu Beauty memory?

"Shooting with Petra [Collins] was beautiful because it felt real. There wasn’t pressure to pose or perform. It was about presence—and letting that be enough. That’s what Miutine feels like to me: something intimate and unforced."

How would you describe your perfect day?

"Waking up naturally, journaling or reading before I touch my phone. A long walk, a meal with people I love, something that makes me laugh until I cry. The kind of day that just flows—no performance, no agenda. That’s my version of beauty."

What are you manifesting for the rest of 2025?

"More ease. More curiosity. More saying yes to the things that feel instinctively right—even if they don’t make sense on paper."
