Oversized Sunglasses Are Back & Our Dark Circles Thank You!

The reemergence of old-fashioned trends is all too familiar to us now. The trends we've already seen this year—jelly shoes, wedges, and push-up bras, to name a few—have given us a case of 2000s nostalgia. And that's not where it ends. As of late, my personal favorite has made its way into the fashion stratosphere: oversized sunglasses. And not just regular oversized sunglasses—ridiculously oversized sunglasses.

If you look back, they've always found a way into the closets of each generation's it girls. Jackie O, for example, routinely hid behind large oversized frames to shield her eyes from the paparazzi and famously kept a bowl filled with them by her front door—a dream. Paris Hilton was the queen of the Y2K-era oversized glasses trend, and honestly, still holds the title.

Now we're seeing all our favorite ladies posting in big oversized sunnies and we are obsessed. Other than the chic aesthetic they give off, a properly oversized sunny makes you question the person behind them. Are they Tired? Hungover? Long night? Early morning? or — just cosplaying celebrity.

Throw on a pair of oversized sunglasses and you are immediately the ambiguous, cool girl on the block. Safe to say, our under eye circles are thanking this seasons trend.
