We've been on the bras as tops train for a minute now (for nearly a year, actually), but when our Social Creative Lead Tash sent the group chat videos of Charli XCX's Spotify release party performance in Nashville, we got to thinking: should we be pairing lacy, underwired push-up bras with skirts for a regular night out on the town? The Coveteur team group chat was met with a resounding yes because, at the end of the day, why not? It’s summer, it’s hot outside, and, much like our affinity for the naked dress trend (something that we’ll never stop talking about), we’re fully onboard with any trend that champions empowerment and body positivity.
While 2026 runways were filled with bras as tops, they tended to fall into the bralette category: Tom Ford with lacy black triangle bralettes under leather blazers for an edgy look, Simone Rocha with sequined bralettes paired with long pink floral skirts for an ultra-feminine look, and Prada with a bandeau bra paired with high-waisted skirts for what I consider a modern take on business casual.

For her performance, Charli XCX paired Fleur du Mal's All About Eve bra—a baby rose pink balconette with black lace—with a leather pencil skirt for a look that felt effortlessly cool, undeniably confident, and quintessentially Charli—and has the bralette-loving members of our team strongly considering adding some more structured support to our rotations.
