Well, here we are in October! Opening the month we find ourselves in Libra season, a time of balance, harmony, and justice. September ended with the last supermoon of the year in Aries, bringing feelings of imminent change to a head, and inviting revolutionary ideas and freedom. Now, we must implement these ideas, and the stage is set not only in the alignment of the planets and stars orbiting above, but also below–here in your material reality.
Now is the time when life completely changes and we must let go, focusing more on your approach. You are not the same person you were, your values are different, and I speak directly to you, reader, because these personal shifts are meant to illuminate the uniquely faceted star that is within you. This introspection will in turn illuminate those around you, creating a cascade of stars culminating in a new earth.
This month holds massive changes and seismic energy, particularly for those on the western hemisphere. We are experiencing two eclipses this month and a Pluto transit, which will greatly affect us energetically, particularly around the themes of power and sovereignty. Eclipses are new beginnings amplified to the nth degree, a time of big feelings as we prepare to let go and give way to the new. The fact there are two this month means that radical change is afoot, socially, politically, economically, and not least, personally.
The first is a new moon eclipse happening on October 14th in Libra. New beginnings are exciting, but in order for them to manifest smoothly, we must let go of what no longer serves us. Pluto moves direct on the 10th, and as it’s been transiting, huge changes around power, control, and personal identity come to the surface. For many of us, this means life, relationships, or jobs are completely changing. Pluto is the planet that represents the process of death, rebirth, and transformation. Butterflies are beautiful, but the actual process of metamorphosis is not always so pretty–so as we shift into these permanent changes, we must pay close attention to what will clear a path for our most authentic and sovereign existence.We are saying goodbye to old versions of ourselves and the people and patterns associated with them. Those who are paying attention and are hyper-conscious of this process will gain a clearer sense of purpose this month.
Halloween weekend kicks off with a second eclipse–this time a full moon eclipse in Taurus, allowing us to accept these changes in order to begin fertile growth. October will be no doubt dramatic, eventful, and very fast-moving so hold on. Remain present, and you will come out the other end of this eclipse portal with a greater sense of your values and how they will carry you into the next four to seven years of your life. Ask yourself repeatedly what is important and essential to you in your life. Living in accordance with your values will clarify your soul mission, urging us all to search our hearts and ultimately live and create from source energy, also known as the source of love. In order for this to happen we must be stripped down to our core. On the 23rd of the month, we move into Scorpio season, a helpful shift allowing us to embrace the themes of Scorpio to assist us in shedding our skin and accepting changes with conviction, self-knowledge, and renewed priorities.
