While we've been waiting for brisker weather to transition from a witchy summer to a romantic goth fall, Nicole Kidman just affirmed that there is no need to wait—and that the two sort of go hand-in-hand. For the Los Angeles premiere of Practical Magic 2, Kidman wore a sheer black lace Versace dress that was very special beyond its asymmetrical silhouette and matching choker. It's Pieter Mulier's first design as Versace's newly anointed creative director and offers us a peek into the house's intricately designed, sexy, glamorous, and seemingly bewitching future.
Mulier, who recently left Alaïa after a five-year stint, is known for exploring the darker sides of femininity through his designs: think romantic ruffles, delicate and dainty details and materials, and dark color palettes. His work is dark, sensual, dramatic, and luxurious all at once.

This one, which is no exception, reminds us that we don't have to entirely give up our witchy, mystical, earthy summers when our gothic, romantic, and slightly Victorian-inspired falls arrive—there is noticeable overlap, especially in terms of black lace and flowing silhouettes.
