It's almost leather jacket season again! We've been in the midst of a heatwave interspersed with floods and not even the nights reached low enough temperatures to call for a little leather jacket moment. Now, we've reached the point in the month of August where we're taking stock of the leather jackets that we already own, asking ourselves if we really need another one, telling ourselves yes (obviously), searching for colors, silhouettes, and details that our wardrobes are missing, and adding endless options to our online carts.
Fall/Winter 2026 served us endless leather jacket inspiration. Khaite's Catherine Holstein, known for foundational pieces and creating basics that aren't so basic, sent croc leather coats, cropped leather bombers with frog closures, and more down the Fall 2026 runway. Over at Burberry's Fall 2026 show, creative director Daniel Lee's affinity for blending house staples with a modern flair was on full display when he sent leather trench coats and textured leather moto jackets down the runway.
