Before the pandemic hit, Lana Condor had shot three movies over the course of three years while traversing three continents. As the actress’s popularity rose following the release of the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise, so too did her visibility. Outside of her movies, fans watched Condor grace a series of photo calls, red carpets, and press junkets in the most enviable of outfits and closely watched her Instagram for snippets of her personal life.

As such, Condor’s style evolution is well-documented. Earlier in her career, her sartorial choices mimicked those of her characters. Since then, she’s become increasingly fearless when it comes to her style. You’ll find her hosting the 2021 Costume Designers Guild Awards in a Christian Siriano naked dress or donning a Moschino disco ball gown to the AmFar Gala the same year. Then there are those off-duty days when Condor can be found in a prep school-esque skirt suit or cozied up technicolor crocs.

While Condor’s relentless schedule mandates she be camera-ready at a moment’s notice, in her downtime the 24-year-old finds her sartorial comfort in the classics. A self-confessed “safety dresser,” Condor’s must-haves might consist primarily of cozywear, but that doesn’t mean she won’t always have a LBD at the ready. From weekend getaways to self-care Sundays, read on for Condor’s closet staples for every occasion.

The Perfect Piece for a Cabin Getaway:

“I’m a sweater girl if I’m going to do a weekend cabin getaway—I love to feel super cozy and safe and soft, so I usually go for an awesome long sweater from FARM RIO. This is an incredible brand that has a huge dedication to sustainability. They are 100 percent carbon neutral, and with each purchase they also plant a tree! So not only do you feel good in a cozy sweater, more importantly you’re paying it forward.”

The Cozy Essential for a Self-Care Sunday:

“Being cozy is an essential part of the way I dress myself. Even when it’s not a ‘self-care Sunday’ I still choose to select pieces that I feel cozy and safe in. I’m a big safety dresser and what I mean by that is clothes are meant to make my body and mind feel safe and comfortable. On a cozy Sunday self-care day, I’ll gravitate to a matching soft set. J.Crew has super cute soft sets for lounging [around on] Sundays.”

The Date Night Must-Have:

“For a night out or date night, I usually gravitate toward a simple little silk slip dress. I always think they look so sexy and make me feel sexy. I love pairing my black slip dress with thigh-high leather boots and a leather jacket. You can get some cute slip dresses at Aritzia. My black thigh-high boots are from Reformation and my leather jacket is from All Saints. It’s the perfect easy-but-sleek and sexy night out outfit!”

The Red Carpet Ritual:

“I always need to have my nails done for a [red] carpet. That final touch always brings the whole look together. I’ve been biting my nails pretty badly ever since I was a child, so they always require a little extra shaping and manicuring. My sweet nail artist Thuy Nguyen has had so much fun designing nail art for the many carpets we’ve done together.”
