According to Greta Lee, This Is The Color Of Fall

And, because of the looks she has been consistently turning, what Greta Lee says goes.

According to Greta Lee, cobalt blue is the official color of fall. And after her style showcasing at the Venice Film Festival, her entire "Past Lives" press tour wardrobe and, of course, that black velvet Loewe dress with white draping from the 2024 Oscars, we believe that what Greta Lee says goes.

Every season, fashion forecasters and editors alike predict which color will takeover (butter yellow, anyone?), and Greta Lee and stylist Danielle Goldberg have just made a case of their own. Together, they pulled two looks in a distinct cobalt blue that we don't think are just a coincidence—the color, and the fact that Lee has been wearing heaps of New York designers (Luar, Colleen Allen, and Area), lead us to believe that their goal is to tell a story through looks.

At a photo call for her upcoming film "Tron: Ares", Lee began her showcase of New York designers in this Area look with a turtleneck top and black sculptural skirt.

Over in Paris to promote "Tron: Ares", Lee's cobalt blue color story began. Lee opted for a structured, perfectly tailored Spring/Summer 2026 Luar suit in an electric cobalt blue. The suit, with pants and a jacket that fit perfectly, creates distinct edges and lines, especially around the shoulders.

At the New York Film Festival premiere of her other film "Late Fame", Lee ditched structured silhouettes for a look, hair and makeup included, that was effortless and flowy. This gown from Colleen Allen's Spring 2026 collection is long sleeved, ethereal, and embraces a freeform silhouette.

Greta Lee and Danielle Goldberg aren't the only ones making a case for cobalt blue, though. Throughout fashion week, designers tapped cobalt blue to tell stories on their runways, implying that it could very well be the color of the next spring and summer, too.
