We've recently called out lingerie tops and pajamas in public as general trends to note, so it's no surprise that these themes made their way to the 2026 Emmy's red carpet. Despite being a formal event meant to honor the best and most brilliant of television from the past year, there's still room for a bit of lace, some sheer moments, and a corset or two. As naked dress connoisseurs, we welcome this wholeheartedly—and know that there's a way to bedroom dress without literally looking like you're going to bed.

Exhibit A: Kristen Bell. Bell wore an Alberta Ferretti white slip dress featuring a pink lace-trimmed V-neckline and a coordinating shawl casually slung to the side. While clearly inspired by slip dresses meant for bedtime and the sweetest of dreams, its sleek nature makes it entirely red-carpet appropriate.

Bell kept her accessories minimal. While she wore a couple of rings and two hand chains, the pieces were dainty and paired well with the ethereal, angelic aesthetic of the overall look.

For an entirely different take on bedroom dressing, actress Caylee Cowan paired a semi-sheer, fully lace black corset with gold detailing with a slinky black maxi skirt for a look that leaned more into the sexier side of bedroom dressing.

A bedroom dressing roundup would obviously be incomplete without at least one naked dress—and Rachel Sennott delivered. She wore a sheer silk fuchsia nightgown-inspired dress by Balenciaga, with draping at the bust and a dramatic cape that transforms this look from what one would wear to bed to what we, lovers of naked dressing, bedroom dressing, and everything in between, would also want to wear to the Emmys.
