Abortion Funds and Resources to Donate to, Learn From, and Share
Abortion is health care.

On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) overturned Roe v. Wade—the constitutional right to an abortion. Now, whether or not a person can receive an abortion is left up to lawmakers in the state they live in. The impact of leaving the decision up to the states will be detrimental for anybody with a uterus. Twenty-six states are highly likely to ban almost all abortions, while 13 states have trigger laws to ban abortion completely (you can see an updated map here). Though the results have fluctuated over the years, recent polling from the Pew Research Center concludes that the majority of Americans favor the right to choose to have an abortion. This SCOTUS ruling is not the majority opinion of the American people and will impact health care for everyone, but especially low-income people and people of color. The right to privacy, access to contraception, and same-sex marriage are in danger as well.
