Raise your hand if you’ve ever moved into a new house or apartment and waited weeks (or maybe even months) before you started to decorate and really make it yours. Same. For us, it wasn’t for lack of wanting to—we just simply had no idea where to start. One source of inspiration we found ourselves always going back to was Montana Labelle’s Instagram. Think marble porn and short instructionals on how to pot your fig leaf tree in gorgeous terracota sculptures. Labelle is a Toronto-based Parsons graduate who studied formal interior design and whose work is inspired by the likes of Axel Vervoordt, Joseph Dirand, and Christian Liaigre. We’re such big fans of her neutral aesthetic and penchant for mixing modern pieces with vintage furniture, we reached out to her for a little inspiration on what to buy for our homes. Below, the five pieces currently in her shopping cart.

Mario Bellini Italian Travertine Il Colonnato Dining Table for Cassina, $20,730
“My most coveted item right now; I’m itching to use this for several clients. The rounded legs feel so fresh, and the vintage travertine is perfect.”
