Ready or not, the next few weeks are going to be packed with festivities—from late-night holiday parties to decadent, hours-long feasts with family and friends. Whether you’re heading home for some spirited quality time with your nearest and dearest or jetting off for a luxe vacay (that you definitely deserve), it’s pretty much a guarantee that the days will fly by, making the quality of the time you do get very crucial.
So how do you maximize these precious days without overthinking them? If you’re anything like our team, maybe it’s a dreamy staycation at your favorite hotel, or a candlelit nightcap with the one you love. If a classic girls’ night out is more your speed, perhaps it’s dressing to the nines and partying ‘til dawn.

“There are days when I am up at 6:30 to go to the gym and am truly nonstop until 9:30, or even later if I’m at a work dinner. This can be exhausting, so I love to wind down at the end of the day and bring some me-time into the fold. One of my favorite ways to do this is to meet my husband for a late-night drink. There are some great hidden speakeasies in our neighborhood that we’ve been exploring, and we love finishing the night with either martinis or scotch for him and a natural wine for me (my newest obsession). I’ve been dreaming of owning an Audemars Piguet watch. My way of subtly dropping a hint? Showing up 10 minutes late to dinner and casually mentioning that I wish I had a watch to help me stay on time.”

“Jess is my favorite person to spend time with. It’s always new and exciting, with lots of fun and adventure. And it always feels like a vacation, whether we’re traveling or not. This year we’re having a staycation that’s reflective of one of our first dates from last winter. We stayed at the St. Regis in Midtown Manhattan and had such an amazing time. We pretended to be tourists, having drinks at the King Cole Bar and ordering room service. On a cold winter morning, staying cozy in a hotel room with the person you love—I don’t think there’s anything better.”

“If there’s one person I’d be thrilled to give a timeless gift, it would be my sister, Shyra. She’s my best friend and my biggest inspiration. We both have exciting, demanding careers—and she has a family—so we don’t go out as much as we used to, but when the opportunity does arise, we make the most of it. We love to get dressed up and go out to dinner with friends, and if there’s a party afterwards, we’re the first ones on the dance floor, sky-high heels and all. Any night with her is a whirlwind of fun.”
