Every Product Jasmine Sanders Used Before an Oscars Party
It’s all about skin care.
In case you didn’t know it, there was more than one hot ticket in Hollywood last night. Elton John’s Oscar party is where all the non-broadcasted action really happened, and the guest list read just as glitzy. Take, for example, model Jasmine Sanders, who glided into the A-list affair in a sheer slit-to-hip Berta gown and glam we’re screenshotting to recreate later. Speaking of glam, Dior makeup artist,Emily Cheng gave us her POV as Sanders primped and prepped for the big night out—and, of course, the step-by-step beauty breakdown.
“She had two changes tonight, so most importantly I wanted to create a look that would complement both gowns. Jasmine’s beauty looks vary from natural to full fun, colorful glam. So for today we wanted to keep the overall finish very sophisticated and fresh, but also with a couple splashes of color.
“We wanted to bring the heat! So my inspiration was creating a fiery look, but more like a hot sunset. We included all the colors that would remind you of this—reds, pinks, and oranges. I can’t seem to stop using blush on the eyes. I think it’s a beautiful and soft way to contour.”
Step 1: SKIN CARE
“Skin care is so important to me. I could easily spend a good 30 minutes prepping skin if I had the time. I like to massage products in and give them time to settle before applying foundation. I started with a thorough massage of Dior Capture Youth Skincare Intense Rescue Revitalizing Oil Serum into the skin and let that sit for a few minutes. I then pat with a hot towel for a light steam. I then followed with the Capture Youth Age Delay Advanced Cream and massaged in as well. Oil-blot the t-zone.”
Step 2: FACE
“I applied Dior Forever Foundation in 2WO all over, and 2W around the face and to contour and warm up the tone. I followed with a bit more contouring with the bronzer. I applied Dior Rouge Blush in Stand Out on the apple of the cheeks.”
Step 3: EYES
“I smudged black eyeliner into the upper lash line and slightly upwards for a fade. I packed on two layers of the middle red shade from the 5 Couleurs Palette 597 Heat Up and contoured the crease with Dior Rouge 047 Miss and Stand Out blush. I finished the eye with mascara. I dropped the two shades underneath as well, and used the light matte shade from the contour palette to blend out. Lots of mascara on top and bottom.”
Step 4: BROWS
“She has incredibly full brows, so a bit of filling in with Dior Backstage Brow Palette 002 and Bold Brow in Dark to keep them in place.”
Step 5: LIPS
“I applied Dior Rouge Liquid 424 in Hypnotic Matte all over, and in the center dabbed Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in 004, then blended outward.”
