For holiday season and beyond.

The beauty industry moves at such a warped speed that the products we’re clamoring for one week are often deemed passe by the next. There is always a new palette, or moisturizer, or lipstick to get excited about, making it hard to decide what’s worth buying at any given moment. For those looking to add something new to their stash for the holidays and into the new year (which is everyone at Coveteur HQ) consider the five products ahead—each recommended by a professional makeup artist who can’t get enough of it.

“It’s a touch unconventional but I say Weleda Skin Food. It’s a skin care item that’s very glossy and emolient and it’s loved my many! You can spend hours on makeup but if your skin doesn’t look healthy and radiant it’s kind of all pointless. Expensive-looking skin at the holidays is the best accessory, especially with all the romantic lighting. Use it before your foundation but just on the high points of the face like a highlighting face cream. Blend it around the face making sure not to much product is in the T-zone. It’s also a great eyelid gloss—just a dab on your lids, throw on a red lip, and you will look chic, holiday worthy, and fashion forward. As a finishing touch, massage on exposed shoulders, elbows, knees and shins for a healthy glowing sheen.” —Katie Jane Hughes

Is Clinical Active Serum is my jam. Around this time everyone is running on empty with all the holiday parties and last-minute shopping. We’re all ready for a vacation at this point. I love this serum because it brightens the skin and makes you look more well rested. It’s magic.” —Jamie Greenberg

Hourglass’s Confession Refillable Lipstick Set: “I’m obsessed with the slim and elegant packaging, which feels super luxe and festive for the holidays. You can try different subtle and sexy shades and match your lipstick to your mood. Plus, the set looks chic in your holiday clutch.” —Kelli J. Bartlett

Galvanic Facial Massager: “As skin is dehydrated and cold in the winter, this galvanic facial massager warms the skin and helps penetrate moisture into it for that hyper dewy effect. It gives you that spa radiance without having a facial.” —Daniel Martin

“I’m loving Fenty Beauty Killawat Freestyle Highlight in Trophy Wife. It’s super versatile. I use it so many ways other than a highlight (which, by the way, makes your skin glow in the most perfect way). It’s super pigmented with flecks of glitter that you can use wet or dry to make it more intense for a night out on the town or if you want little extra something. I have a couple of favorite ways to apply it. One is to take to take a little water and dip a small eyeliner brush into the color and line the eye. It’s the most yummy gorgeous gold line, especially when the light hits it just right. It’s even better as a gold cat-eye. Another way is a take my ring finger to grab some highlight and gently press the color on the eyelid. This makes the eye pop and is so quick to do if you have a event after work. One more quick way is to lightly press the product on the inner corner of your eye with your pinky.” —Deanna Melluso
