When going outside is a hard no.
You know what? It’s hard enough to find any semblance of motivation to get yourself to the gym on a good day, but when it’s cold out and the snow is blowing sideways? Hell no! In our attempt to live the indoor life until the big thaw of spring, we’ve put together a few of our favorite butt-lifting exercises we can do right in the comfort of our cozy living room.
“It’s booty time! This is an amazingly effective exercise that requires no space, so it can be done anywhere. Start with your feet together, and take a large lunge forward and down so that both legs are at right angles. Come back up, feet back together, and alternate legs. You will feel this one burning quickly!”
“The Single-Leg Knee Drive is a great move to light a fire in your legs and help you increase speed and power. Start by standing with your feet hip-width apart. Take a long lunge back on one side and drop your back knee towards the floor, keeping your chest up and back straight. From the base of the lunge, push through your front foot to drive the back knee forward and up into a knee drive position while your front foot hops off the floor. When you land, the same leg steps straight back into the next lunge. Do 15 reps on each side, and be sure to use your arms to get more momentum in this move.”
3. SQUAT JUMPS
“Place your feet hip- to shoulder-width apart. Squat down to parallel, driving through your heels, exploding up to a full extension of your body until your feet leave the floor. Land softly in your squat stance.”
“This move puts those glutes and hamstrings to some serious work!
“Sit on the floor, and place the band around your toes (as shown). Then, flip onto your hands and knees with hands under your shoulders and knees underneath hips, back flat and head down. Extend your right leg all the way back, kicking it into the air for one rep. Complete 15 reps on each side for three sets to feel that booty burn!”
