Remember when we wrote about small tweaks you can make to create the illusion of a polished home? This is getting a little more...intensive. We tapped interior decorator, founder, and director of Roomers and contributing interiors editor Fiona Byrne to help transform our very own co-founder, Stephanie Mark’s, East Village apartment into the home of her dreams. And every dream home starts in the kitchen. Here’s how she did it.

“When Steph moved in, her biggest gripe was the state of the kitchen. With laminate counters and the cabinet doors falling apart, the room was a late 80s nightmare that needed a serious redo, but who wants to invest a ton of cash in a rental? No one. With that in mind (and the help of Keurig), we flipped the outdated space, bringing it fresh into 2017.”
