This late in the year, we feel confident in calling it: matcha was the drink of 2016. It has officially peaked. Are you over it yet? Us neither! Trend victims though we may be, we are completely addicted to a particularly Instagrammable lemonade that happens to handily be made mere blocks from our office. The only thing left to do is supplement it with our other favorite consumable: alcohol! (You know where this is going.) The Matcha Patcha is like the millennial version of the Sex and the City Cosmopolitan: while it has a healthy twist, a lot of fancy ingredients, and it comes from a bar in Williamsburg (Coveteur favorite Loosie Rouge), it’s so delicious (like the Cosmo) that you’ll drink four without thinking about it—until you stand up. Happy holidays and cheers to the year that was.
