LoversLand Takes On New York Bridal Week

Right this way for everything white and beautiful.

By: Jodi Taylor

It may or may not be a coincidence that our Wedding Week fell during the same time as New York City’s Bridal Fashion Week, and although we were busy working away at Cov HQ and backstage to bring you all of the best wedding content, a few friends of ours, Danielle Gulic and Yvonne Reidy of LoversLand boutique in Toronto, attended countless presentations, shows, and appointments and reported back with all things white, lace, and beautiful. We always say we’re lucky to have friends in high places, and this time was no different as Danielle and Yvonne are vets in the industry—their store, LoversLand, is a bridal concept store bursting with the most jaw-droppingly beautiful dresses you’ve ever seen (for both brides and bridesmaids!). We anticipated that they would come back with photos of the most lust-worthy goods, and deliver they did.

“What a whirlwind of a trip! Five days of back-to-back presentations, fashion shows, and meetings with designers and suppliers. We travel well as a duo and it usually takes weeks to create this kind of schedule. This was our third year at [Bridal Fashion Week] and we always forget to book breaks to eat! We stayed at the new 11 Howard in Soho, where we find constant inspiration from the best shops—Super, David Dixon, and Opening Ceremony. We were so inspired on this trip by our colleagues, who we now call friends from all over the world.”
