Surry Hills

The cultural epicentre of Sydney offers quirky and not-so-ordinary shops, bars and restaurants.

Surry Hills

Call an Uber and make your way to Surry Hills. Think of this as the artistic epicenter of Sydney, where everything from the shops to the food pit stops have their own little quirks. But hands down the best finale to your seriously long day on the retail circuit is an ice cream at Messina—just be prepared to line up.

Collector Store

473 Crown St.

We’d like to think of Collector Store as that of an organized hoarder (those exist, right?). An eclectic mixture of Aussie labels and international brands fill the shelves, while rustic homewares and tchotchkes take up the back half of the shop.

Paper2

477 Crown St.

More than just pulp and fiber, Paper2 is packed with all sorts of stationary and knick-knacks, all of which would make for some pretty unique gifts if you ask us.

The Standard Store

503 Crown St.

Guys, this shop is anything but standard. Let us explain... Proceeds from their board shorts go toward saving the bees, a.k.a. the world; they prefer ‘bunny ears to baseball caps;’ and they favor colorful rubber soles. Yeah, we kinda feel them. And so do Sydney-siders.

Messina

389 Crown St.

There’s only one way to mark the culmination of your day, and that’s with a decadent (seriously, try the Salted Coconut Mango) ice cream at Messina. It’s worth the wait.
