Every Single Look from Louis Vuitton Fall 2018 RTW Collection
Set inside the Louvre, Nicolas Ghesquière sent barrel bags and band jackets down the runway.

Inside the glass pyramid of the Louvre, Nicolas Ghesquière took the fashion crowd (and us!) on a field trip for Louis Vuitton’s fall runway show. With subtle nods to quintessential back-to-school textiles, Ghesquière reimagined argyle and crewneck knits and sartorialized the cropped band jacket. There were also understated military references—Waterbury buttons that lined front flat-paneled skirts, lapel pins, and shearling-lined bomber jackets. But that didn’t take away from the overall femininity of the collection: Creamy pleated skirts reigned supreme, and fringe in myriad materials (leather, chain, and even bolo necklaces!) made an appearance on a majority of looks. Let’s not forget about the barrel bags (our Louis Vuitton handbag wish list is already long) and bowed heels he sent down the runway.
