Pat McGrath wants your lips to be B-O-L-D this holiday season. Today, her cult-status makeup brand, Pat McGrath Labs, launches its newest limited-edition lip kits. LiquiLUST 007 comes in two sets with three shades of matte liquid lipstick in each—a bright colors set and a nudes set—plus a fine crystalline powder and clear gloss, so you can do two different finishes in matte or IRL Kirakira shine. If you’re counting, that means 12 new lip looks for your party circuit this season. You can also get everything in one epic nine-piece set. Smashing.
“The spirit of the holiday season, for me, is mesmerizing magic, sublime sparkle, and the chance to pout, provoke, and pose at the year’s best parties,” McGrath said in her press release. In other words: shine bright, my friends.
To give you all the details on this bound-to-sell-out release, we heavily documented everything about the launch, from the how-to-apply, to how the colors look on their own plus with the extra finishes, and what all comes in each kit.
HOW TO APPLY
NUDE MATTES
The three shades in the nude set, which is called LiquiLUST 007 Skin Show, include a pale cream, a mid-tone blush, and a deeper ruddy tone. Here we show the mid-tone blush and deeper ruddy tone on Lisa and Urvashi.
NUDE GLOSSES
After adding the finely milled sparkly powder on top (just use your finger to dap on—that’s how the pros on Pat’s team do it!) and sealing it in with the gloss, the warm nude tones become golden and gleaming.
BRIGHT MATTES
The three shades in the bright colors set, which is called LiquiLUST 007 Colour Blitz, include a pink, a red, and a vampy purple. Here we show the red and purple on Lisa and Urvashi.
BRIGHT GLOSSES
The glitter in the bright color kit is a white-ish tone with a touch of violet. With the glitter and gloss on top, the colors instantly get a cool sheen that is as modern as it is eye-catching.
EVERYTHING IN THE KITS
In each $75 kit, you get your three shades—either the nude set or bright—plus a jar of sparkly, superfine glitter (the nude shades get a golden glitter and the brights get a more violet-toned glitter) and a high-shine lip gloss with a vinyl-like finish. Or you can get the nine-piece set with all six shades, two glitters, and one gloss for $150.
